Lucky Me! …Kinda?
Hehehe… I was feeling a little lucky today, so I decided to go and buy one of those “Living Large Lottery” tickets today. The first early bird draw is in two days, and since one of the cars is a Lexus SC430, I decided that was the ticket to buy. (I’m allowed to dream!)
Scratching away the “Instant prize” area, and not expecting anything, I saw that I won a 649 subscription for 26 draws! Yay!! –so I get to dream a little more for the next couple of months! That’s kinda cool. I decided that this indeed was a good day, so I dropped an extra $4 on a “Set For Life” ticket, cuz… you just never know (LOL — no, I don’t watch too much tv). I won an extra $8!
Woohoo…! Okay, okay. It’s not that big of a deal. But, if you knew me, you’d understand that I very, very rarely win anything! And, the way things have been going in my life recently, I have not been incredibly lucky with much. This feels nice to have something go my way for a change, even if it’s a silly thing like winning a 52 dollar ticket and doubling four bucks
I’ve been working alot. Not as much as my boyfriend (who, by the way, hasn’t taken a full day off in something like 3 months now) but, enough to be pretty tired of sitting in front of the computer. I have a LOT of catching up to do still — and since I didn’t have any billables for almost 3 weeks during my recovery, it’s going to be a busy several weeks to get back on track financially as well as project wise.
I went out with a friend last night to see “10 Ways To Lose A Man” — that was a pretty halarious movie. Kinda bittersweet for me in some parts, but entertainment just the same! It’s always nice to get out with a good friend to bitch about life. –grin– …which is precisely what I did tonight too! I saw another friend’s new house in New Westminster tonight, and was impressed with the late 1800′s home. They have a ton of work to do to get it to where they want to have it, but it’s getting there. Let’s just say, they don’t even have most of their kitchen at the moment. Chalk that one up to over-enthusiasm by her fiance, when they moved in. He thought it would only take a weekend to install a kitchen sink, and related kitchen appliances, so he completely disconnected the old sink. Um, they’ve owned the house since Dec. 1, and it’s still not installed. That said, he’s also been on the road a heck of a lot for work. Oh well!
Well, that’s it for me today… hope everyone’s having a great week so far!!

Gambling just isn’t fun if you aren’t winning.
