I Need A Vacation!
Crazy as it may seem, and although I’ve just had a fair amount of time off work to heal from my recent “fun with scalpels” adventure, I’m finding myself wishing I were in some remote location… away from the usual and the ordinary.
Does this make any sense at all? I’m finding it hard to understand why I need to get away, when I haven’t been working, and life has been everything BUT ordinary recently. I guess a change of scenery, and some adventure is what I’m really craving. You are all going to think I’m totally nuts, but I want to get to Europe soon. I’m thinking… Mediterranian cruise, followed by a week of exploring somewhere around the disembarking point afterwards. There’s going to be no cheaper time to travel and do this type of adventure — and even though war might break out as early as next week, the cruiseship won’t enter any areas of extreme danger anyhow. There’s nothing like a little fear of being hit by a cruise missle to increase the feeling of adventure, anyhow — right? LOL. I think I’ve finally gone insane.
I had a great weekend last weekend. First time in ages that I felt really happy the whole weekend, actually. Friday night was great because a good friend was in town for training, and so a bunch of us went out to Kobe Steakhouse to enjoy a feast, and catch up. Saturday was spent working in the afternoon, and a late movie with my boyfriend. We saw “The Life of David Gale” and enjoyed it a great deal! (Except I can always guess the twists with Kevin Spacey movies half way through). Sunday was spent relaxing for the first time in a long time… my boyfriend took the WHOLE day off, and we went shopping for much needed groceries, flipping though magazines at Chapters, and watching a couple of rentals last night while eating too much junk food.
Well, I must get back to the grind… and plan for cooking dinner tonight for my step-mother and her husband. Should be a fun night, having them over here for the first time.
