Settled in, getting it.

I like feeling comfortable, and at ease. :) I have made a ton of decisions this past weekend which have left me feeling purely happy! I won’t share them all here yet, but for now, one of my decisions has been to stop dating for a while. I know, you are thinking to yourself… “Already?” I’m actually very content in seeing where life takes me next, and have zero ambition to meet any new guys here in Vancouver. Read into this what you may!

My makeover on Friday was fun with Jenn, but I wasn’t terribly thrilled with the results… sigh. I’m too picky when it comes to makeup. It’s a pet peeve of mine when a makeup artist over-compensates for small issues on my face. Like, for one, I don’t like my eyebrows darkened, and she *really* darkened them. I have blonde hair — it’s natural — and it looks completely unnatural when you make my eyebrows light brown. Hmmmm. Oh well. It was still a fun experience! Jenn looked awesome, and her makeup artist did it in about a quarter of the time mine took. Afterwards, we went out to “Speakeasy” on Granville — and had some beverages and food. That was good. I took her home, and we ended up walking down to a restaurant/cafe down the road with Paul (Jenn’s boyfriend) called “Public” and had another quick drink before I headed for home. It’s always fun hanging around those two!

I had a busy weekend on Saturday and Sunday. I ended up on a date, and then off to my brother and Diane’s place for a BBQ. Mike was nice, but there was zero spark there for me (and my heart really wasn’t in it, anyhow). He’s a nice guy, and I’m hoping we can stay friends, but somehow I doubt that will happen. I did meet Roger that way a few years ago, so who knows.

Sunday saw me up in a helicopter for a quick flight around Vancouver! That was fun… it was my first time in a helicopter, so it took me a couple of seconds to adjust to the different type of flying, but it was really neat to see Vancouver that way. I’ll have to do that again soon! The weather held up long enough for the 20 minute flight, so that was cool! Later that night, Deetria and I headed out for dinner at the Shark Club, and had a great time talking about life, and how each of ours was paralleling the others at the moment.

Well, time for me to hit the sack… it’s been a long day today! Oh, but before I do, if you don’t have the beta of MSN messenger 6 yet, you should get it! (ask me where) It’s capabilities (esp. for audio over long distances) is exceptional!

…Big hugs, you guys!

:D

Awww… Col, I doubt that! I just keep myself busy. Maybe too much so sometimes — but I’ve read your blog, and your recent trip to see your brother sounded *fun* !

    (grin)

it might be time to lie about our respective lives to keep up with ya…or maybe I’ll just stay with my weekly posts so it doesn’t get too painful.

  • NetChick says:

(LOL!!) Oh Harp… I’m sure both of your lives are just as interesting as mine is. I’ve just been keeping myself really busy so that I don’t have a chance to be lonely because I’m cuddle-deprived.

    :)

i wish i could hire a man to cuddle with me…

okay, does that sound as pathetic as it looks?

  • NetChick says:

:) I bet any guy would enjoy cuddling with you, Col! :)
