Trouble arrives in Texas!
I can’t believe I finally landed last night… what a long day! It was all so worth it when I arrived, though. I got a nice hug from Chris… Yum! It was funny — the first thing I noticed when I was entering the baggage area of the airport to find Chris was six very large cowboys, complete with very big cowboy hats. I had to laugh to myself. Welcome to Texas, Tanya
After waiting for the luggage for what seemed like an eternity, we finally made it back to Chris’s place at about 9pm central time. I felt bad for Chris, because the automated phone system hadn’t been updated with the flight change, and even though I had originally told him we were going to be delayed, no further arrival changes had been made to the airline’s system. He’d been waiting for over two hours.
That sucks.
As soon as we got in, I quickly unloaded my suitcase into the closet, and Chris ordered chinese food for dinner — unfortunately, we were both so tired at that point that we just threw it into the fridge and didn’t get around to eating it.
We got to bed early last night as I was literally a walking dead person, and Chris had to be up at 2am to help with setting up a “remote” for the station this morning. Yikes. He just got home about an hour ago, and is now having a nap before we begin today’s fun activities!
I think we’re going to head out for dinner tonight, and then meet up with Michael, who happens to be in town for a family function. That’s neat that we’re going to catch up with him, as I haven’t seen him in person since the last time in Los Angeles two years ago. Wow. That’s a long time ago now. It’s going to be a really great night!!
