Back to the grind, sort of!

I’m finally back to normal and my previous, sleep-deprived state from travelling has all but been replaced by my normal cheery, effervescent self. :D

Deetria came over last night and shared in the sauna-like conditions for a few hours here. Those Vex Hard Lemonaids sure helped some to alleviate the sweltering heat in my room. She was going to stay the night, but decided to head home because she was feeling a little overwhelmed with her life stuff… so ended up heading back to her place around 9:30 or so. I was thankful for the visit none-the-less. I’m pleased that she’s finally taking some time to herself to de-stress for the rest of the summer, rather than take on more courses at school on top of everything else she does to stay busy. You go girl!

I went out this evening to get a shot at my doctors… oh what fun that was. I waited over an hour and a half to find out that I couldn’t have it today due to a recent course of antibiotic treatment that I had. Can you believe they are making me wait until TOMORROW? What the heck difference is 12 hours going to make? How inconvenient. I was a little pissy — after dealing with the extreme heat at home all day, working very hard, to wait in a stuffy doctor’s office to find that out. Grrrrrrr!

It’s been pretty positive on the work-front, lately! I managed to score not one, but possibly three contracts yesterday (one for sure, and the other two or more to be ironed out mid-next week — but the fact that they want to have me back in the office next Wednesday tells me that it’s pretty much a go) Yay! I love being busy at work. It’s all good, because I have to build my savings back up… I had SO many expenses this month, including a $1600 car insurance bill, $1800 spent on vacation (but I got an incredible vacation for that!! and a cool camera, too!), $1100 on car repairs because some jerk messed with my car a few months ago so I really need to address that this month before it starts rusting, oh ya, and I can’t forget the $1000 or so I need to spend to tune up my car and fix some minor things… not to mention my regular living and business expenses. It’s been an expensive month!

So, after talking all about how much I’ve spent or going to spend this month, what am I doing? Looking at cruises, of course! ((GRIN)) Why not? I work hard, and I really want to spend more time with Chris — he’s still got some time left this year to take, so I’m currently pricing out some cheaper cruise options… I really, really like having things to look forward to — and that goes doubly so when I can look forward to spending that time with someone as special as Chris :D

Speaking of Chris… he’s finally updated his blog, also! And, there’s some pictures there from my trip — he beat me to it! What a sweetheart! I really like this guy a whole bunch. He makes me extremely happy! So, anyhow, if you want the “He Said, She Said” thing, visit his site by clicking here!

I’m going to see what I can do about getting some of the photo album finished and up tonight on this site, but no guarantees as I’m heading into a MSN Messenger conference with an out-of-town client in 25 minutes. Hopefully he won’t be too long, but I have a sneaking suspicion that he will be. There’s a total of four people involved in this online conference, and I know one of them can talk. (LOL).

ps: I’m so glad so many of you guys followed my adventures down in Texas — it was fun to share my excitement with you all! Love ya!
