Darn — I can’t sleep, again.
I’ve been dealing with a heck of a lot of insomnia lately, and I’m really getting tired of it (nice play on words, huh?)
At 4am, you’d think I’d be tired. I was earlier, but I guess I missed that window of opportunity because I had to finish my project. (which I did do!) I guess there are pluses to working at this time of day — no phone calls distracting me, no friends popping online to say hi, and the heat isn’t at the point of being almost unbearable at 4am.
Hey, good news from earlier tonight, er, last night! I booked Aimee Mann tickets! Yay! She’s coming to the Commodore on Thursday (only 2 days to wait) and I’ve been looking forward to seeing her live again for a very long time. I saw her in LA, just after I was introduced to the Magnolia soundtrack, and that’s when I really learned to appreciate her music.
Of all the artists that I saw while living in LA, Aimee Mann’s show was the most intimate, and the most enjoyable. I’m really looking forward to a replay of that experience! Can you believe that I convinced Vern to go, too? There’s a whole bunch of us heading out that night, so it’s going to be much fun for all.
I’m glad I have a bunch of stuff to look forward to in the coming weeks! I will probably head out clubbing on Friday with Zoë, Jason, and their group of friends, and I’m also considering a camping trip with them on the 15th. Diane and I are doing pedicures on the 22nd, and I might take a quick road trip this weekend with Tammy if I have time. (Darn, I know I’m missing a bunch of fun stuff… but I’m starting to get tired).
Okay, this chick is going to bed.
Yawn!

So glad you guys made it out!
You were at Aimee too? She was amazing! Didn’t expect her to play the Coldplay/Skynrd fest there…
I had *such* a great time at Aimee!! She’s one of my favourite artists, and it was that much better going with Jenn, because she’s even more of an Aimee Mann fan than I. Had a ball!
