Holy inundation, batman…

Zoiks. I’m completely OVERWHELMED! I put up a couple of profiles on “singles sites” over the past few days, and needless to say, I’m feeling like I’m drowning in responses. Many are people I’m just not interested in, but I was surprised to find several who had responded to me that were right up my alley! I found myself wondering why “such men” needed to be using a system like match.com or emode.com — and I asked some of them. The ones I asked said that they led busy lives and simply weren’t running into “dating material” in their day-to-day activities. I get that. I don’t really need to be using these sites either, but I don’t want to sit and just wait for fate to happen. I feel the need to shove it along some!

So, here I am, emailing several guys, and wondering what the heck I’m going to do if I actually have chemistry with more than one? Three of the guys that I’m communicating with are in the Bellingham area, and two are actually vets there. (I wonder if they know each other?) LOL! This whole communication-thing is quite time consuming though — I should have gotten more work done today (and I did do SOME) but I kept getting emails from men that actually appealed to me.

I’ve decided I’m going to have to treat this adventure like I would any other task… and just delegate certain hours to it so that I’m not having my workday consumed by a constant sidetrack of interest shown in my direction. So there you have it… my dating adventure starts up again. I didn’t think that it would be so overwhelming… the last time I did the “full-on” online dating thing (about 2 years ago) it built up to a ridiculous amount of emails, but it certainly wasn’t the floodgates that I’m dealing with this time. I guess it’s nice to have some validation, anyhow. I’m sure meeting some of these guys will be fun!

And so, the single Tanya steps forward to find Mr. Right, once again… Wish me luck!

:D

Mr. Right or Mr. Right now? ;)

Most definately, MR RIGHT. I could care less about Mr. Right-Now, as I’m quite happy being single until I get it right this time :)

Colour me picky, I guess… but I’m getting to that age where I want to start making some plans for the future, and it would sure be nice to have someone special to do that with.
