Better late, than never!

I was catching up on Col‘s blog, and noticed that she posted questions for me almost a week ago… oops. Sorry Col!

Bet you are wondering what the hell I’m talking about? (No, I’m not in a “cold & sinus tablet” haze, I’m really almost with it!)

It’s the Interview Game!

THE RULES
1. Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2. I will respond; I’ll ask you five questions.
3. You’ll update your website with my five questions, and your five answers.
4. You’ll include this explanation.
5. You’ll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.

Col posed these interview questions for me:

1. Which would you rather be famous for: singing or playing an instrument?
If I had to be famous, I’d prefer to be famous for playing an instrument. I really admire those that can play a musical instrument with such talent that others look up to them. We can all sing (okay, some of us sound pretty horrific, but we all have the “ability” to make sound that counts for singing) but, not all of us can play an instrument. I’m currently SLOWLY learning to play the acoustic guitar, although, I certainly will never be famous for it.

2. What is something that you are absolutely anal retentive about?
Anal retentive… ya. Hmmmm… I guess I am absolutely anal about people showing respect for others. Yes, yes, I know respect is something that is earned, but I also beleive that a small amount of respect should be given no matter what. It’s polite, courteous, and provides people with the sense that somehow you have a small amount of compassion for others, even if they’ve somehow done you wrong.

3. What is your favourite book?
I can’t say that I have a favourite book, actually. I enjoy many types of reading including that done for work. Sigh, I know, I’m a closet geek. If I had to pick a book that I thoroughly enjoyed, and couldn’t put down recently, it would be “The Day After Tomorrow” by Allan Folsom. It’s a murder-mystery novel with a sub-plot of a Nazi resurgence, and it takes you all over the place. Great book!

4. Who do you admire?
I admire all the amazing women who’ve worked so hard to move ahead in so many ways. The corporate, entrepreneurial women leaders out there who’ve shown me that it’s entirely possible to get to where I want to be, to the mothers who’ve managed to balance their work and home life with what seems like such ease. These women show others what’s possible, and I really admire them for that.

5. What colour is your personality?
Red! But, not an angry red… A red that expresses excitement, enthusiasm, and a sparkling exuberance for life. Is there such a red? That’s me “most” days. (except maybe today, which would be the bright pink that my nose has turned from all the blowing!)

Thanks for the great questions Col!

:D
