Men. [Sigh]

I thought a woman’s intuition is never wrong??

Sigh. Mine was, it seems. I *did* have a really great date the other night (see below) and I emailed the guy to let him know that I thoroughly enjoyed the evening, but I haven’t heard back. I’m thinking that I should probably just leave it at that and not call him. He would have responded to my email or called by now if he was also interested, right?

Jenn was saying, when I mentioned this issue, that “Sex And The City” dealt with this very issue last week. Apparently one of the characters was wondering why the guy hadn’t called back after a great date (or so she thought)… One of her male friends said, it’s this simple: He’s not interested. Sigh.

Don’t I sound pathetic? I was just so sure this guy was as interested in me as I was in him — Oh well.

I bought a brand new mattress and boxspring today! Yay! This morning was the VERY last straw when I woke up and couldn’t move my neck. No more sleepless nights on my foam-covered futon! I took the plunge and got a super great deal during a close-out sale. One of the warehouse staff is dropping it by tonight after work… I’m so pleased!

And so… after my new bed gets delivered tonight, I’m heading out! Yes, yes… it’s a “school night” and yes, I’ll be going out dancing tomorrow night with Jason and Zoe — But I really just feel like getting a little “validation” tonight. I’m in a decent mood, and I might as well make use of it, right?

The firefighter guy keeps calling me (the one I met about 2 weeks ago with Deetria and Tammy at the Foggy Dew). He’s a nice guy, but, I’m not sure what to think of him. I keep forgetting to call him back — Life’s been busy I guess. Man, looking at that sentence, I’m as bad as the guy who *didn’t* call me, aren’t I?

Oh well.

Brit night, here I come :)
