Catching up the blog!
I thought I’d take a few minutes before I crawled into bed to catch up my blog… I’ve been a tad deliquent lately.
My brother called me late in the afternoon to invite me to join him and Diane for dinner at the Paddlewheeler in New West, but I didn’t get home from the office until after 8pm, so it was getting too late to go all the way out there after they’d been there for a few hours… and when I got home, I was pretty darn tired. I’m going into the office by 8am these days when I don’t work from home, which means a much earlier start to my day then I’m used to.
Then, just when I felt like getting out of the house for something quick to eat, Deetria called and invited me out for a snack — Perfect timing! I just got home from that, and although it was a short time out, it was still fun to just do something a bit different… and at the Mountain Shadow Inn, which is a very neat place to grab a beer and some quick pub food.
I had a really cool date last Saturday afternoon with a guy that, as it turns out, had emailed and talked to Deetria a while back as well. I knew this would eventually happen! Too funny, really! I wouldn’t have dated him had he actually met up with Dee first, but thankfully, that wasn’t the case. He’s a really funny guy, who’s tall, sweet, and handsome too. You can just tell the moment you talk to him that he’s got a deep sense of kindness throughout his being. He is a bit far away, in Bellingham, but as he comes up to visit White Rock nearly every weekend to see his brother, I think that Bellingham isn’t that far away. Oh ya, and he digs me too… I’ll definately see him again! He can certainly make me laugh!
My car is acting funny. Grrrr! It’s the first time that I’ve had really serious car problems since i bought the car, and now I’m a little afraid of the bill involved. Sigh. It’s just suddenly started to rev up, and slow down, and rev up and slow down — All while I’m in park. As soon as I put the car in drive, it lurches about like a dog stuck on a chain in the back yard… NOT good. I think I’m screwed if it’s the computer that operates the car. I guess I shouldn’t jump to conclusions and just take it to Lexus and find out from the people that know. I’ll keep you posted.
This bed (Oh yea, I’m in it right now… [giggle] Heck, I have a laptop, I might as well use it on my LAP occasionally) is feeling awfully welcoming at the moment. I’m loving the new mattress, and kicking myself for waiting so long to buy it. I wish I was able to spend money on myself more freely — It’s pretty stupid to deprive oneself the quality of sleep you get with a good bed. That futon I was sleeping on, regardless of the foam topping, sucked ASS. At least I’m enjoying going to bed, with or without a cuddle partner these days!
And, that’s where I’m leaving it tonight kids — I’ll keep this place more up to date, I promise. [Yes, starting with pictures from Halloween, probably tomorrow]

Hey T. My old prelude did the same thing… revving up, down, up down… it turned out to be a chip in the computer. Just warning ya.
And… How much did that cost???
Sigh. NOT good. I gotta take it into Lexus on Friday.

Yah, we noticed the predominence of football — only a few of the tv’s actually had hockey on. Sigh. What is the world coming to??
