Damn, life’s good!
Yay! Roger is in town!! I’m so glad I got out to catch up with him last night. He’s in from Timbuktoo (okay, I’ll admit, I can’t remember the name of the town, but it’s way the hell out there), Alberta, and is enjoying the veritable balmy weather we’re having here in BC (At least, for the time being — I hear it’s snowing pretty heavily in Chilliwack at the moment!). Last night we (we being Rog, Jeremy, Deetria and myself) all met up at Milestones in Burnaby and had some food while we laughed our asses off. I’d love to share some of the funny things Deetria had to say about her dating scenarios, but apparently I’m not allowed… Doh! They were perfect blog material!
Tonight, Jeremy walked the gauntlet… I’d say, pretty literally so, as a matter of fact! He survived, without any lasting wounds from the looks of it! I bet you are wondering what the heck I’m talking about?? HA HA… Tonight, he met my stepmother Penney and her husband Darrell for dinner with me at Earl’s — and I know it went well, because for the first time ever in my dating life Penney, having met all of the people I’ve had relationships with in the past, leaned over to me when we were leaving and said: “I like this one”. Now, that’s a ringing endorsement. Bravo, J! Jeremy actually joked on the way home about “throwing” some of the future first-time meetings with friends and family in order to obtain some balance… I know he wasn’t serious… Silly guy.
As it stands now, I’m supposed to be skiing tomorrow with Mark and Melodie, but I haven’t heard from them, and I have a sneaking suspicion that Melodie’s back is in no shape to be skiing on the hills tomorrow night. Man, do I feel her pain, having dealt with some pretty serious back pain myself over the years. If it turns out that they aren’t skiing tomorrow, though, I am going to do something else instead. Jeremy’s invited me over to his place tomorrow night, for example [[place evil grin here]], as it’s not much fun to ski by one’s self each week. It’s not the end of the world if I miss one week of skiing, anyhow…
Oh oh oh oh!!! I can’t forget my best news of today, err, this week — oh hell — best news in a long time!!!! Jeremy confirmed that his holidays were booked successfully today, so we’re being impulsive and heading to England for a couple of weeks at the end of March. Now, I can already hear some of you say: You’ve only known the guy for just over three weeks, and you are heading to Europe with him? Listen… I was planning on traveling to England in early March anyhow (by myself, no less) so what could be better than to travel with someone who would look out for me (Jeremy’s very good at that), knows the country really well, not to mention, have an incredible adventure with no less?? I can’t think of a better person to travel with, to be quite honest! WE’RE GOING TO HAVE A TOTAL BLAST!!! My first adventure in Europe is now only a stone’s throw away! Teeehehhehehehhhheeeeeeeeeee! Life rocks!

(She doesnt love us anymore Ed!) I feel, so, so, Hey… the APTS MINE!! HA HAHHHH!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOoooo YESAAAHHH!!!
Hmm, damned… now Im all jeolous and stuff. Okay, first thing. You need at least four days in London. Find a bed and breakfast so it doesnt wipe you out. Figure out the underground (subway) immediately.. you will be a pro in 1/2 an hour. Pick the museums ahead of time, but you must see the crown jewels at the white tower… if nothing else. Dont bother with the torchure chamber there… unless it is quiet. I would say you probably have more interesting think… nup… wont go there. The trocadoro at Picadilly was a hoot. It might suck now. Oh, when you land at Heathrow, look back at the flight path.. you will see at least 6 planes right behind you. London *IS* by far the most romantic city in Europe. Paris may be prettier, but London has english as its language… which makes all the difference in the world. Oh yes! Use your Canadian Passport! If you use the *other* one, you will probably be detained and questioned as to why you would use it.
Thanks guys! I know we’ll have a blast.
Vern — Thanks for the tips — We’ll keep those things in mind, for sure! And, NO I AM NOT TAKING YOU AND ED. You and Ed had your chance to book with me, and didn’t, so there.
58 days and 9 hours and counting…
Not that you’re anxious about the trip, or anything………….
oooh i’m jealous!
sounds like it’s gonna be a great trip!
Ooops, I got a little ahead of myself in my countdown… currently 58 days, 19 hours and 6 minutes!
