Is it the middle of February, already??
Work is freekin busy, lately. Err… Lately? Okay, work is keeping me quite busy, as usual. I’ve actually been a little annoyed this week with clients and unreasonable demands. Normally, most of my clients are a delight to work with — Fun, and usually really love my work. This week, though, has been pretty frustrating with a couple of said clients. Not all of them — Some are always great, but there’s been a few this week which have tried my patience. It doesn’t help that I’m really under the weather again, and that always brings down my tolerance level.
Okay, so enough about work. I don’t have much in the way of off-work stuff to talk about because my work has really overwhelmed my time, but I did manage to get out a couple of times this week — Once with Jenn, Michel and Jeremy to sushi which was very good, and once last night at Zigz with Jenn, Jenn, Vern, and Jeremy who met us after his fencing. That was a blast… Last night was the first time that Jenn and Jenn had met, and they seemed to get along well. It’s nice to introduce people that are similar in nature (not to mention name…) and have a fun night without any awkwardness because of a new addition to the conversation.
My dad called me this afternoon! It was good to hear from him, finally. I was beginning to wonder if he and Sharon decided to stay on the cruiseship for another two weeks. Turns out he’s been swamped at work as well (which is always good in a down tourism economy that he’s been dealing with lately). I’m glad they had a good time on their trip, and am looking forward to seeing all the pictures they took.
Tonight I’m off to Kam’s on Davie for dinner with Todd, Diane and Jeremy, and then we’re going to see “50 First Dates” which I’ve heard good and not so good things about. I’m sure we’ll all have a great time anyhow as all of us have a knack of being stupid in public places to liven up the evening. No question that tonight will not be any different. Bring on the silliness — I need to cut loose after the week I’ve had!
Oh, and yes, I’m very much looking forward to SinCity tomorrow night. Too funny that Jeremy lives right across the road from the club that it’s held at! How convenient!! I can’t wait to experience that side of life… It’s a whole new world for this innocent chick. Has anyone else been to SinCity? Leave me a comment and let me know what’s on your agenda for Valentines (or anti-Valentines as the case may be!).

I’ve been to Sin City – loads of fun with a good group of friends. You’ll have a blast
Hey Jen! I’ve noticed a lot of people in my stats come from your neck of the woods (err…blog)
Yes, I’m really looking foward to tomorrow night. Unfortunately because it *is* Valentines, many of the usual croud that I hang with will be busy with other things, but I’ll know at least a couple of people there, anyhow. Jeremy’s promised to take care of me as well, so I’m sure I’ll have a great time!

I had the radio on: CBC, DNTO, and heard this “thing” call BLOGs to day. Your website was talked about and an interview of you was played. I thought this was realy cool idea, a web journel that has clinet push-pull on your own web server.
Question: do you require special software to do this BLOG thing?
Thomasso [Fort Langley, BC}
Hi Thomasso! Welcome!
I use a blog system written in PHP, which I host directly through my web hosting provider rather than a third-party blog hosting company such as blogspot.com
If you have web development experience, you may prefer to look through the options for your own blog system, but if you haven’t really designed/developed in dynamic environments, I’d recommend a all-in-one solution such as the one above.
Cheers!
Tanya
…Being stupid in public places… hmmm… what does THAT remind me of?
All of a sudden I see fireworks, ghetto blasters and international incidents… Aah memories!
Mmmeeeeemmoriiiieeeees!
