I have forgotten what fresh air feels like.
This entire week, starting from Sunday afternoon on, has been ALL ABOUT WORK. That’s sad. I’ve been really sick, to make matters worse.
I was feeling a ton better on Sunday, only to wake up Monday morning feeling like death. I was so weak, and by this morning, could barely talk from the strain of my vocal cords due to coughing non-stop for 48 hours straight. Heck, it’s a completely different cold from the one I had for the past two and a half weeks — I guess I should rejoice in the difference, hey? Not so much.
I can’t believe I haven’t stepped foot out of the house since Sunday afternoon, actually. Tuesday night the cold relief medication I was taking kept me up until 6:30am, so I ended up just working on and off all night to try to catch up from whacked out Monday afternoon work attempt. I was close to drunk from all the cough syrop I consumed that day. I guess you could say I got something out of it.
Tomorrow, after work, and catching up with Jenn for a drink at Zigz, I’m off to a work function / networking opportunity with Vern at the Caprice. Apparently it’s Clubzone’s first anniversary, so Mike, who is the Director of Clubzone, sent Vern tickets for him and myself to join in the festivities. I haven’t actually met Mike yet, as the last function I was invited to, surprise surprise, I was sick for. I’m not going to let this cold get me down for tomorrow though. I’m really looking forward to meeting all the Clubzone people — It’s about time!
Back to work I go for one last half hour before I hop into the shower to wash my hair (pre-emptive strike, as I have no time in the morning to do my hair) and head to bed.
(place coughing fit here)

Sounds like you may have caught my Suriname flu… Symptoms sure sound the same. Yick.
Switching gears here… There’s been a lot of talk about The Passion, maybe too much talk. This song is not a rebel song, this song is Sund… man, I need to listen to that album in the worst way.
Anyhow, The Passion. I was watching telly last night, instead of putting on To Live and Die in LA special edition like I planned. Certain other members of my household macrame their ass to the couch any time a “tampax” show comes on which necessitates my retreat into the den, but again I digress… Watching the news there was a lot of talk and opinion about The Passion. Jews flipping out over Anti Semitism. Christians telling them to “relax guy, get a load off”, and critics with their various reviews.
Being what I like to call a Lapsed Catholic, I know a thing or 2 about the story of the Crucifixion et al. Bottom line, the Temple Elders, who were Jews, narced Jesus out to the Romans. The Romans did the dirty work for the Elders, but you don’t hear ANYBODY bitching out the Italians. Sure the Jews narced out Christ, but the Romans were the ones beating the holy bejeezus out of Christ.
Now even implying that the Jews or the Italians for that matter are to blame skirts one very obvious biblical “lesson” regarding the Crucifixion. Jesus on many occasions said that his fate was pre-ordained. He knew what was going to happen, and who was desined to play their roles in the drama. If his fate was pre-ordained, it would have been made so by God. Therefore, GOD is ultimately to blame since by deductive logic, he placed the pieces on the chessboard to begin with.
Seriously though, the Jews have to get over this anti-semitic horseshit. And of course, now I am an anti-semite for telling them to relax and take a load off. Heeeyyyyyyy guy! Look over there!
Even when you’re sick, you still havetah find time for networking, such is the business life… have fun, hope ya land a gig
Ed. I think you need a web page. I agree with you 100% tho. don’t know why they think mel is anti-semetic… don’t shoot the messenger…
I’m working on it!
hehe… getting there, Sandy! I keep looking outside at that amazing weather and cursing all the work I’ve got on my plate lately.
MJ… I agree.
Ed… My goodness man, we’ll definitely have to get http://www.red-stapler.com up soon! But, you are still welcome to rant here whenever you feel so inclined
I, personally, won’t bother to spend $13.50 on a movie that is subtitled, and that gory. I’ll wait for the video, if I watch it at all. Hell, I know the story according to what I learned from the 11 different religions that I sampled growing up… I don’t really need Mel’s take on it.
Hope you’re feeling better these days. Get outside girl!
