A whole new world!

Wow! DID I SLEEP LAST NIGHT!
(place slightly guilty look here)
We slept until 1pm!! Wow! I certainly nee3ded the sleep update, though, after yesterday’s marathon. The good thing is that we’ve completely acclimatized (or at least I have) to the 9 hour difference in time already, and feel ready to start our [...]

The Adventure Begins…

Deetria came over last night and shared her stories of her recent Ohio trip with me while I packed… We had a nice visit, and she spoiled Vern and I with wine, and a large tray of sushi and other goodies. She ended up crashing with me, as she had had two glasses [...]

Another all nighter!

Wow.
Am I ever tired.
Yawn. That’s two all nighters in a row. Last night I got about 3 hours of sleep, and it looks like even less for tonight/this morning. Oh well.
The great part about my exhaustion, though, is the giddy-ness (okay, I confess that I can’t spell at 4:30 in the morning) [...]

Questions, questions, questions…

Col offered up some questions again for blog material… So here it goes! (If you’d like me to provide some unique questions to post in your blog, please comment below!)

Who do you miss?
I really miss a close friend that I had for many years. She’s still around, but busy with her own life, [...]

Forget the haircut!

I’m pulling out my hair at the moment.
Forgive the lengthy posting delay, but I’ve been extremely under the weather with a severe reaction to the Erythromycin that I was on — Hives and other such fun… For close to two weeks now. Nice.
Add to that my clients asking for some pretty tight deadlines, which [...]

I hate haircuts.

This is why I wait 18 months between cuts. I can’t stand getting four inches (I’m *not* exaggerating!) cut off my hair everytime I visit a stylist. I really didn’t think four inches was required to be removed, just because it was a little dry at the ends. Grrrrr….

See what I mean? [...]

Deep Thoughts…

“I wish I would have a real tragic love affair and get so bummed out that I’d just quit my job and become a bum for a few years, because I was thinking about doing that anyway.”
– Jack Handy

Jeremy sent me another dozen roses to my office today. He’s so sweet.

I guess he realized [...]

Happy hump day!

Yay! I’m finally getting stuff accomplished these days. Thank you Alexander Fleming, for paving the way to today’s antibiotics!
Colene and I *finally* met up last night! We had a nice chat at Starbucks over lattes, and I’m glad we finally found some time to meet in person. She’s great! What [...]

A weekend of restaurants

Friday night was a blast — Everyone was really good about not giving me too much grief about coughing my lungs out at dinner. As it was the first day of antibiotics, I was still feeling under the weather, and certainly didn’t have my coughing under control, but I’m glad I got out anyhow. [...]

TGIF!!!

This family doctor shortage in the Lower Mainland is a *real* pain in the ass. So much for quality social healthcare in this province, I say. I’m quite frustrated with the situation, as you can probably tell… This morning, I waited for almost an hour and a half in my walk-in-doctor’s waiting room [...]

I don’t have SARS!

Isn’t that a relief?
I do however, have a respiratory infection. I declined the antibiotics for now, as I’m really against using them unless I absolutely must take them… But, if this cough doesn’t clear up soon, I’ll capitulate. Thankfully, besides my cough, I’m actually feeling close to my rambunctious self again these days. [...]
