Off to “Slayer 4″ with my neice!

Um, I mean “Shrek 2″. What was I thinking?

It should be a great time for both of us! My neice, Ashleigh, who’s 8, is a ball of energy usually — I get a kick out of her antics sometimes. The girl just can’t sit still! Note to self: limit the sugar intake before the movie! I have to say though, that I was probably very similar to her at that age… Full of ants in my pants [Edit: Rog asked me nicely not to use that term, as apparently it scared him...] The fondest memories I have as a kid include spending time with my closest Aunt. I realize now that I haven’t taken nearly enough time to have fun with Ashleigh, and I really want her to have similar fond memories when she gets older.

I was thinking back to one of the few movies I remember going to as a kid, and it was with my Mom, my Aunt, and my brother… A Disney flick, (I won’t mention which one so that my brother doesn’t get embarrassed! ahhaha!) and even back then, I remember really enjoying having my Aunt with us. Good times!

Okay, for those of you with enquiring minds… Yes, I have been continuing with my dating adventure! I’m still having a great time, and getting to know a few guys. I’ve recently been on three dates with one, and two with another and you know, they are both awesome to hang with. It’s funny how I can be interested in two very different people, though.

Anyhow — Look forward to a review from me tomorrow on the movie. I’m sure it’ll be a blast. (And, no, I won’t give away the plot — I don’t even enjoy watching previews. [[I'm the one "la la la'ing" with my ears plugged while they're playing]] And, before I forget! Vern won (okay, I entered him) tickets to the premiere of “Stepford Wives” on June 9th — My birthday… Oh well… He’s already said he’d like to take me along since I did enter his name to win the tickets. I don’t have any other plans for that day, so why not?

  • Roger says:

I can’t believe you used the term ‘ants in your pants’. That really makes you seem older than you are. Don’t use that term anymore, k?

On another note, glad to hear the dating scene is going well!

    [place stoopid grin here]

Ritchie! LOL, I’m not that young — Wish I was. Little Mermaid came out in 1989… I was 19! LOL. If I’m seeing *that* with my family, with no kids present, I think I’d need my head examined. LOL!

Rog… Hay, I’m not *THAT* old. Sheesh. I like that term. However, just because *you* asked me nicely, I’ll not use it again. hehheeh…. And, yes, I’m certainly enjoying my dating adventure these days. How’s the women in the Great White North? Any better than the last location??

Thats what all the girls say… The old “I have to do my hair” is very much like the dog ate my homework… “I dont have any other plans…. so why not” Life, dont talk to me about…. life.

I’m just crossing off my list of girls who I refuse to see again, under any or all circumstances (unless they ask me to go out with them… or, email me, or if I should accidentally email them, and then they email me back).. and I actually had a list!! Life (email me back and).. lets talk about life.

All things considered, Ants in the Pants sounds far less frightening than oh… Crotch Crickets? LOL!

  • NetChick says:

…Vern! I just helped you with your profile… I thought that list of yours was written in stone! (And crossed off with permanent ink!!) Enjoy what crosses your path! (she said… enjoy…!)

Oh man Ed… You come up with the strangest things. LOL!

  • Roger says:

So tonight I worked on my blog (yes, I must do everything the hard way)

    Go check it out!!!!

  • NetChick says:

OH man… That’s awful. Those types should just be shot. Bitch! (See, this is why men never approach me publically — Because of bitches like that). [place eye roll here]

Congrats on the new blog. I’d *comment* there, but alas, I can’t. Get on that, will ya? haha!

  • Roger says:

Yeah, yeah, yeah…. can I not just enjoy my success for just a little while? ;)

    See ya tonight.

  • Roger says:

    Col,

It was just down the street from Kits… a little place called High Level, Alberta. ;)

  • NetChick says:

I guess the manners for High Level differ *slightly* from Vancouver, hey?

I still can’t believe someone said that to you. How awful.

  • todd says:

Thanks for limiting Ashleigh’s sugar intake by sending her home with a big ice cream!!! hahahah….
    (ps, just buggin ya)

  • NetChick says:

Isn’t it my job to be the annoying auntie that does everything she can to mess with her brother??!? At least I didn’t get Ashleigh the ANNOYING toys when she was younger.
