What a difference a move makes!

I’ve had a bad headache for at least five days now, and I must admit, it’s starting to get really annoying. I really don’t want to take anything stronger than advil during the day because if I do, I’ll be curled up in a little ball in my office. At let me tell you, my office floor is not comfortable. I hope it clears up soon!

Last night was very exciting! Boy, have I led an eventful life this week! Okay, maybe not. Last night after work, I hijacked Vern and his car and helped my Mom move the last of her things from Maple Ridge to her new place in Kits! I’m rejoicing that she is *finally* OUT of Maple Ridge. For good. Never to return. What an awful place… Sorry to all those that live out there, but I just don’t get it. At least, I don’t get it as a single chick.

The building my Mom left was diseased. I don’t mean that literally, but there’s a fog of negativity and a general lack-luster approach to living that I’ve noticed from the people living in the place that has steadily been getting worse over the six years she managed the building out there. I’m so glad she’s rid of the troublemakers that she regularily had to deal with. Her new building is amazing in comparison. I have a good feeling that my Mom will finally get out and start living again, given her new surroundings and positive atmosphere. Heck… I’ll certainly see her more now that I can drive out to her place from work in about 15 minutes. What a difference a move makes. I’m so excited for her!

And… I’m so delighted that I’ll never have the need to drive out to Maple Ridge again. (Unless, of course, one of my friends goes insane and moves all the way out there.)

there’s not many things in life that I assign myself ‘never’ to…but you will NEVER have to visit me in Maple Ridge due to the fact that we moved there :) unless it’s cuz my car broke down after some camping.
