I think I’m catching something!
It’s crunch time at work, and I’m actually thriving on the workload. Other than last night, that is.
I rowed at 5:45 til about 7:20, but just couldn’t seem to get it together with the technical aspects of my stroke — I was putting every ounce of effort in, but about half the time I didn’t feel like my effort was paying off. It turns out, once I got out of the boat, I wasn’t feeling very good, and that probably caused me to lose my focus during the class. By the time I got back to the office at just before 8, I was feeling downright sick.
Consequently, I finished off the last of the really dire stuff, and left for the night around 9. I figured a good night’s sleep would allow me to put in a long day today, and to be honest, I’m glad I did. Giving credit where it’s due, Vern practically begged me to drop it for the night when he saw how I was faring. I guess he also knew that if I didn’t get a good sleep, I would likely be a complete nightmare to work with today.
Anyhow, I’m feeling a whole lot better today, (although, not 100%) and I’m ready to put in a very long day of development in order to complete a concept that is due Sunday afternoon. I’m confident that I’ll get it done… And provide the rest of my clients with their projects in a timely manner as well.
On a different note, last night when I got to the rowing club I looked around to see if Jeremy had arrived yet, and when I spotted him on the dock readying a single shell for his evening row, I felt a warm glow wash over me. When he glanced in my direction and a huge smile appeared on his face when he saw me, I knew he was as happy to see me as I was him. It’s such a great feeling — having someone so obviously delighted to see you arrive.

Ahhh ain’t that nice. Slushy, but nice. So I gather you got the night right this week but as I’m picking things up as I go here you’ll have to fill me in on the rowing details. Are you being coached and is it for speed or do you just enjoy rowing or both?
Hmmm, obviously things have changed since our last discussion.
Glad you are doing well, except for the ‘sickly’ part.
Rog
PS
Gotta throw that ‘Aaaawwwww’ in there for good measure.
Okay, I’ll join in. Awwwww…
Too cute. Er, but exactly what “stroke” were you practicing? Or maybe we don’t want to know…
Awwwckkkphhlllplith- spit.
Piledriver? Hot Karl? LOL!
Stuart — I am loving rowing, so far. Only been a little over a month for me, but I’m now learning to scull, after my sweeping course last month. Eventually, my plan is to compete at the Masters level if I can get there!
Tod — Ya, ya. I think I remember you and Kimmy pretty damned mushy…
Stroke? Did someone say, stroke?? hahah
Rog… Life changes. Regularily. I’m looking forward to catching you finally at home so we can yack some soon!
Ed & Shnewt — Need I say anything at all?
