Girl time!
Ya know, it’s really nice to have a sleepover every once in a while. I haven’t done this in so long that I barely remember the last time, actually. I really had a great night!
Corree and I started off on a mission at Metrotown — Must. Find. Suit for New York. Alas, my cheapskate side took over and wouldn’t allow a purchase of close to $300 for a wool suit I found at Jacob. Too bad. It was kinda itchy anyhow.
I did find a nice black skirt at Zara that just had to have a home in my closet, though. And, for the low low price of only $80. Good grief, clothes are expensive. This purchase doesn’t preclude a suit purchase though, and I’ll have to find some time next week before I leave to find a nice suit that doesn’t break the bank. Why am I so damned cheap??
Afterwards, we gorged on sushi, and headed back to my place on the skytrain with bags in hand, where we picked up my car and grabbed some movies for the evening. We ended up picking “Osama” which, I’m afraid, probably wasn’t the best movie for an upbeat girly evening. There was no stopping our enjoyment of the evening, however, regardless of the subject matter we’d just experienced, and we spent several hours talking about just about everything including today’s social climate for street people to strickly banal material that only girls can get away with yacking about.
It was fun.
And no, boys, we did not have a pillow fight. Nor did we sit around in see-through lingerie freezing our asses off. And Shawn, for the record, I actually did have flannel on. Try not to have a heart attack…
I’ve just bid Corree a good night (or as good as it can be on my lumpy futon in the livingroom) so that I can grab a few hours of sleep before my day starts in just a few short hours. I’m gonna be tired tomorrow!
Note to self: Organize another girls sleepover, soon! I can think of several chicks that would enjoy a powwow in pajamas over a couple of girly cider drinks

oh and the term is thrifty…not cheap!
thrifty is good
and if you’re looking for a well priced suit, try Fairweather.
i dont think it’s being cheap. sometimes the voice inside your head just won’t let you spend too much money on things. i can get like that about lots of things, especially parking. ugh, i hate paying lots of $$ for parking
Mmmm. Flannel. Pillowfight. Feathers. High Heels… dajfnweevk
