Time is short, life is busy. What else is new??
Lunch hour update: I’m *very* overwhelmed with last minute work-related priorities for my upcoming tradeshow. I leave on Friday, and now there’s a ton of little things that haven’t been taken care of. Most of these things need to be completed today, so that I can have the materials to the printer tomorrow to pick up on Thursday. Yikes. I can’t believe I leave for New York with Jenn in only three sleeps!! Wow.
I’m really excited — I think this is going to be an awesome trip in so many ways… Firstly, I haven’t had a girl’s trip in a long time, so the weekend in New York with Jenn is going to be awesome for that, and secondly, I’ve not had the opportunity to represent any company at a tradeshow booth (directly that is — I’ve attended tradeshows for companies including my own in the past). This will be a very welcome occasion for me to finally meet many of my colleagues in the telecommunications world, as well as enable me to develop some new relationships with potential partnering companies. I’m really looking forward to it.
Provided I’m ready to go, that is. [[place hyperventalating Tanya here]]
I had a great night last night! After rowing in a quad with what’s turning out to be a regular and great crew, all of us but one went up and joined Vern at Cafe Crepe on Robson for some hot chocolate and a snack. That was cool… I love that place. Afterwards, Vern and I walked over to Davie and grabbed a movie to watch on his new 42″ Vega. (Yes, I’m jealous…) I ended up crashing on his couch, which was nice because it was so quick for me to walk into the office this morning.
Which brings me to my other awesome news!! I’ve accepted the roommate situation in Coal Harbour! 33rd floor… I could see it from our rowing course yesterday, and couldn’t stop thinking of how nice it’ll be to be within 3 blocks of the office, and six blocks from the Rowing Club! Wow. I’m *so* thrilled. I’ll have 2 male roommates who seem like a lot of fun — And a decent living space within the condo to call my own. I can’t wait to be sipping a glass of wine and look out off my 525 sf balcony onto Coal Harbour. That’s the life!
I’m grabbing life by the short and curlies — I can’t wait to see what it throws my way next!

Well I guess I’ll have to find a new moniker now.
Thanks guys! I’ll have a blast… Sounds like Jenn has a few great ideas for the weekend, and I have several of my own for the evenings during the week when I’m not entertaining partners/clients (I’m finally going to meet a couple of online friends that I’ve never met in person, for instance!)
Hehehe… Ya, “potential male roommate” there’s not much in the way of potential left, but then again, who says it’s only geared towards me, anyhow?
Congrats…. Tanya, on your new pad, room mates and good luck, have fun on your NY (girls) trip. Stay out of trouble and smile when you go through the airport–trust me
