Saving Breasts!

“Row For The Cure” at the Rowing Club today has been a gas — Our team even won prizes for the most pledges! — $1600 for a good cause, The Canadian Cancer Society. The event was based on teams of 12 ergging (using the rowing machine) for a total of an hour. Having finally gotten some sleep at 7am, this was a significant challenge for me, as I am jetlagged, and surviving on only 3 hours of sleep. Even still, I’m having a great time…

I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying the people at the club — It’s nice to widen my circle of friends and improve my conditioning all in one go. This event was great, because it allowed me to once again participate in a team-approached goal, and have fun while doing it.

Tonight a bunch of us are off to Milestone’s for dinner and I know we’ll have a great time. I’m sure at least a few of us including Corree and Vern, will head out after that to finish off the day with some great music.
