Blech!
I hate painting — Which is what I’ve been doing this afternoon in between working. I’m now on coat number 5, and I’ve decided that this paint reeks, and isn’t very good for coverage (Duh).
What am I painting, you are probably wondering? Well, my bed is in the solarium (strange setup, but it works really well) and there’s a glass wall and door that looks out onto the livingroom. Obviously, I need a tad bit more privacy than that, so I went out on my lunch break today to grab some acrylic paint from a craft store. I’m sure glad I didn’t listen to the clerk who said, after hearing about the space that I was covering, that 2 bottles would do. Um. Not! How about 8, and I’m concerned that I might need more… And I can’t get any. I bought discontinued paint because it was on clearance. Who would have guessed that I’d need to do so many freeking coats to get solid coverage?
So, I’m now covered in grey paint, and trying to focus on work while I wait for the smelly stuff to dry. How fun has my afternoon been? Err… Not much.

Want some curtains?
paint is more FUN!
Ya, curtains would have been smarter — But, alas, I like making my life difficult. One good thing, though was even before it was dry last night, it completely cut all the light from the living room out — And this morning when it was dry, it actually looks great.
so you say i never comment anymore? Awwwwww.. I hate painting – but since I’m 6′ 8″ – I ALWAYS get asked to help people paint… maybe thats why it bothers me so…. cheers
hey girl you should have put curtains up. Easier to remove.. let me tell you about removing that when you move…. UG!! it is HELL HELL HELL
you remember the red bathroom situtaion… bye bye damage deposit. hehehehe. Oh well I can hardly wait to see it. Next sat and counting.
Now just think how lovely your humble chatteau-fort will look after all your hard effort and elbow grease put into it. Your view upon the rest of the world would seem like heaven below the clouds. Although grey does seem a bit dull, does it? But the ships in the harbour and lights from the streets should add that accent to it. Now you can say, “This is the domain of Net Chick, no one else” except for the roommate. Enjoy
