Pain in the… errr… Mouth!
If getting a tooth whitened from the inside out doesn’t sound painful… You’re wrong! OUCH. I am alarmed at how painful that procedure was today. It’s not even the tooth that is hurting now that the freezing is wearing off. It’s actually the gum and surrounding tissues where my dentist took about five long minutes to freeze, all the while, pulling my upper lip in a way that it simply wasn’t meant to be pulled.
I guess the fact that I’ve had several surgeries in that area made it much more sensitive. It’s still throbbing 3.5 hours later.
But, the good news is, my front tooth is now white. It has been slowly turning a dreadful shade of grey due to requiring a root canal. I’ve been holding off, as a) I don’t have dental, and b) that tooth needs to support a bridge soon, and I want to make sure I do everything I need done in the right order.
What a pain having a birth defect is!!
Oh well. At least I finally got it done, and it looks so much better than it did. I no longer have to be concerned about whitening my other teeth and making that one look even worse than it already was. Phew. Glad that’s over with!

Ah bleaching from the inside. I’ve had that done to my front tooth. My dentist told me that the pain was a result of a bad root canal. The bleach somehow permeates through your dead tooth and gives you a helluva mouthache. It sucks but it’s all so worth it in the end.
you’re gorgeous no matter what!
*Arg* I feel for you…. I know what it’s like in the “Chair,” I was in it once for 4 hours: a 5 tooth bridge. But hey, next to rings, people look at teeth as a sign of health in a good, possible partner. I heard that once on a show called The Sex Files on TLC about 3 weeks ago. Smile!
Hey, you got the eyes going in the pop-up too….. KEWL.
