Lots of laughs
After a hard labour day helping Vern bring his condo up to rentable condition, I rushed off to meet up with Col and Sandi for a movie night. We saw “A Very Long Engagement” — A well written, really well developed plot, with an excellent cast of superior actors… With the same director as “Amelie”, and Audrey Tautou in the lead role, the movie has some of the look and feel from their first awesome hit together. None of us were dissapointed tonight with the flick! It has that ‘award-winning’ feel to it. Highly recommended!

Afterwards, we all walked up a few blocks and had a late dinner at a really neat cafe, the name of which, currently escapes me. Vern joined us for a brew, and we all took turns poking fun at the single life and other similarily entertaining conversations…
Then, Col left us, and Sandi and I followed Vern home to play some X-Box and enjoy some more yummy wine, before Vern walked Sandi home. (Wasn’t that very thoughtful of him?)
I’m sleeping on Vern’s couch again tonight, as it just seems easier than dragging my shit back to my place in the rain… It’s late and I’m pretty tired from all the painting and crap I put my body through today.
Hope you all have an amazing New Year’s Eve! We’re going to have a close-knit group at Vern’s place for some board games and some laughs. Seems everyone has the same thing in mind this year, or am I out to lunch?

Seems a lot of people are doing that this year! I’m really looking forward to playing some games and drinking some bubbly in a relaxed environment among a few wonderful friends.
