Hitchhiker’s Guide!
Yay! It’s finally time to see the movie version of Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy tonight! I’m so excited. I got the books last year from Jenn for my birthday, and I’ve seen most of the BBC series that I rented a while back. Now it’s time for the big production… And at the brand new theatre, Paramount Vancouver, that just happens to be doing it’s grand opening (it’s about time, sheesh) today as well!
My lunch will be spent walking up to the theatre to buy tickets so that we have a chance of getting in tonight at all. I’ve tried a couple of times to buy online, but of course, the fricken movietickets.com site isn’t working properly for that theatre. How frustrating.
I’m really looking forward to a movie night with Jeremy!

Yup, me and some freinds are heading out to Colossus Langley to see it. We expect it to be packed. I think everyone and their dog has read the book at some time in their life? I went to http://www.mybc.com and they gave it 3 1/2 out of 5 stars? But then again, they were giving the last two StartWars movies that same rating????? and I liked them a lot!
Have fun and enjoy the movie T, I’m sure you’ll give us a full rating tomorrow!
*popcorn* yum……
I’m a tad jealous. I haven’t read any reviews on the movie so I’ll bed expecting a full report on your site tomorrow..
T-The movie was good, true to the book, well most of it. There seemed to be some shady spots in that I either forgot about or the producer added / or changed? I think the film carried the spirit of the book overall. I still LOL at the Deep-Thought computer with her answer to the question, (which is 42 for those who are wanting to know without seeing the movie)? The eye candy was good, (CGI)…. and, in that true British fashion, the “muppet” style char. were very well done!
However, what I thought in my mind when reading the book and what I saw on the screen were close, I think my imagination was better…. But then isn’t that the law of probability anyways- 2 to the 468492 power of the likelyhood of getting it right? He ha ha ha…. Don’t for get to get your guide to the galaxy!
T- looking forward to your review…
