Very little to report

There’s not much going on in my life right now because I’m still in recovery mode. When I am like this, I find myself hermit-like and withdrawn, although I’m starting to break out of that headspace now. I have had a friend here and there come over (like last night) and I still love those evenings, but my normally enthusiastic outgoing side has all but dissapeared.

I did make it out on the weekend, first on Saturday to watch everyone row at a ‘friendly regatta’ at the club — Great to see everyone after being away for 3 weeks, but a little sad not to be rowing. Okay, who am I kidding, it was downright depressing not to be able to join in the fun. Sunday was nice –After brunch with Jeremy and Vern, Vern and I headed out to Costco and then the Commercial Drive block party for a short time… And then over to a BBQ, where I did have a good time, but definitely didn’t feel like my normally social self.

Other than that, I have been working from home so far this week because I think I probably did too much on my feet this weekend, and consequently the nerve endings in my knee have been letting me know just how active they can be. ‘Zing’ is my new word of the week. I’m off to the doctor, and the ambulatory clinic to see the wound specialist today.

On a different note, here’s something kinda funny that was sent to me this morning: “Wear the Fox Hat”
