I'm back!

Trouble has arrived back in town! Sandi and I got home last night around 7:30… Taking the same limo home from the airport that we left with. What a great trip! I think I’ve successfully got Sandi hooked on Blackjack and Let It Ride, which is good, because slots are for old people. [grin] Hell, I decided to try my hand at $5 slots for just a few rounds, and lost a record $50 in 5 minutes (or less, actually).

We had a great time gambling, napping in our beautiful room at The Wynn (pictures up tonight), walking the strip, eating the *most amazing steak ever*, drinking champagne at the Blackjack table with “Warren the dealer”, getting the *worst service ever* at breakfast, seeing a fab show called Le Reve at our hotel, and flirting with American boys (because they actually flirt) (okay, it was only me doing that — Sandi is happily taken), window shopping, shopping at the Fashion Show Mall, and generally taking it easy.

Gambling-wise, I had been up and down during our five days, (always within my pre-determined budget to gamble), and was down to my last $10 on our last night… I ended up sitting at a Blackjack table with a bunch of people who looked like they were having a good time, and didn’t get back up from the table until well over four hours later, with $1400! I went up to the room where Sandi had retired to, and got her out of bed and made her come back down to play a little more — We’d made a habit of not getting to bed until 4am anyhow! She’d already used her budget for the day, so I gave her $100 of my chips, and we went up and down a while until we eventually lost $400 that I’d come back downstairs with. Oh well! Can’t win if you don’t play!

I have to say, on a different note, that I needed this trip for so many reasons, but particularily because living in Vancouver can give any single chick a bit of a confidence blow — Flirting here is very low-level, and if you didn’t know it was happening, you might miss it entirely… Whereas, in most US states I’ve found (and certainly in Vegas), men are overt about their interest. (Sometimes too much so) It’s nice to be reminded that I am desirable to the opposite sex, and that was just the boost I needed to get back into dating in a little while.

Thanks Sandi for taking time away from K to have fun with me! It was an excellent adventure!

Duty free? Ya, I kinda forgot to grab a nice bottle of something red on the way down, and there’s no duty free on the Vegas side (there’s actually NOTHING of any value on the Vegas side). Oh well!

But, Sandi and I had a fabulous bottle of Tin Shed while enjoying our amazing filet mignons on our last night!

We must get together, share that bottle of wine I bought, and you can tell me all the sordid details you ‘left in Vegas’. I know you! hehehehhehehhhheeeee.

Well, not including the few bucks I had left from winning on the cruise with Mom, I only took out $800 USD, and came back with $1000 — So, the whole trip made me money, including the spending money! Great deal… And a lot of fun. — I’ll call you about tonight — It sounds like fun!!

Jessica! Yes, I want to try that wine — And, of course I left out nuances to my trip… It would take me days to write it all, and besides, juicy details are better in person over a glass (er, bottle?) of wine!
