Frostbite, anyone? Anyone?
Man, was it ever cold coming home tonight on the Black Beast, and I was only riding for about 10 minutes! Even with wearing my new warmer riding jacket (well, new to me) it was darn nipply out there. I’m actually having ‘plug-in’ envy for all those that can actually heat their gear with their bike battery. I’m going to have to rig something up if I’ll be riding in the fall/winter months! Brrr!
And! My house is FREEEEEZING! Time for the darn heat to be turned on. Hear that sucking sound? That’s my wallet emptying to pay for the electric heat in this place. It’s crazy expensive, especially with a solarium that isn’t at all insulated, and two levels to warm up.

Thats tough luck about the cold. Personally I am looking forward to the winter so I can finally shut off the air conditioner and stop the wallet hemorage. But its getting cooler, our high today will only be 89F today and might even drop down to 69F tonight..
Woo-hoo!!
OK off to work. Have a good one!
Tough life, Russ!
Only 89°? It was about 44° here last night! (I think I converted to F correctly… 6°C)
Buit I do know what you mean! When I lived in LA, the air conditioning was crazy expensive!
Yea, even back east it was damn cold. I’m dreading natural gas prices too, as I’ve got this ancient historic house that the wind practically blows through on cold, blustery days.
Thx for the visit, I’ve reciprocated the link. I love your webcam, and would like to get out to Vancouver someday. Is it as spectacular as it’s reputation?
I’d say, even more so, trusty! It’s FABULOUS here, and that’s coming from a chick that has travelled plenty! No real temperature extremes, although it does get ‘chilly’ in the winter, it rarely freezes. In the summer, it’s beautiful, and not hot to the extreme. I couldn’t think of a better place to call home…
I couldn’t help but notice the nip in the air here on the other (read wrong) end of the country. I’ve been riding my bike – the one with pedals – and am having similar challenges with layers of clothing. Nothing helps when the temperature dips.
I find myself drinking a lot of tea these days. It’s warmly comforting.
Hey Carmi, I’m sorry to hear you are suffering ‘frostbite’ too. Being that cold is no fun! I’m hoping my roadtrip this weekend in the likely downpour we’re expecting doesn’t lead to losing a toe or finger along the way
