This chick's tired…
I think it’s because I have a very, very long night ahead of me. I have a bunch of work that has been on the backburner that absolutely needs my attention tonight, because tonight is the only night I have free to take care of it. I should have finished it all off last night, but by the time I got home from dinner with Col (that was fun to catch up with you!), I only had about an hour and a bit left in me. (Bad Tanya…)
So, I guess this chick needs to load up on the caffeine, ephedra, and any other energy-providing substance I can think of and pull a very late-nighter tonight. Unfortunately, most of the pending projects also require a high degree of creativity from me, so I guess I’d better start the positive self-talk now. By the time 5:30 rolls around, I need to be bouncy and excited about sinking my teeth into these new projects, or nothing will get done.
Note to self: Do your after-hour projects as soon as you get them. They are a lot more fun that way!
Am I the only one? What have you been procrastinating on, lately?
UPDATE:
8:45pm — OMG. I just wasted almost 2 hours with Vern trying to troubleshoot some actionscript in flash that wasn’t broken. I feel so… Blonde. [place eye roll here] [/roll]

I think a better question is what HAVEN’T I been procrastinating on lately…
^^^^ I’m with her….
but truth be told, I’ve been procrastinating on getting my house on the market. I despise moving… sigh.
You’re moving? Did I miss you telling me that? That’s exciting!! Wow…
You’ve also been procrastinating on putting up the pics of Todd and Diane’s wedding!
I wanna see…so I can steal all their great ideas!
I have 8 flasks of MDA breast cancer cells that have died because I can’t get shoes on over my swollen ankle–so I’ll have to start the cultures up again from cryopreserved vials of cells. Damn–that takes two weeks to get them back up to speed! Not really procrastinating, Tanya, but close.
On the positive side, you don’t get warm and fuzzy feelings for cells when they’re cancerous–so let them die!
I’m procrastinating about attacking some large code changes for a client I thought I’d already finished.
I hear ya, T.
I think Utenzi has the scariest job.
Well, I procrastinated in picking up all of my dog shit today and they are getting soft with the rain. They are harder to pick up when soft. I know, this is not as fancy as your college degree cancer cell petrie dishes or IT codes type of important procrastinations. But my job is picking up dog shit, ok?
[giggle]
I’ve worked as a programmer and as a scientist, Roger–and at least for me being a programmer is harder. I don’t know if it qualifies as being scary, but the deadlines can kill you. I did love my programming job but I remember those hard deadlines with horror.
Um…lets see…updating my blog. I also have a show to hang at the end of the month and I’m a million miles away…procrastination be dammed!
