Answers!
You asked, and here are my answers! Thanks everyone for playing along!
Jessica asked:
1- If you could live anywhere else in the world except Vancouver, where would it be?
I really loved visiting London, and perhaps at sometime in the distant future, I may make it home for a while. Dual citizenship definitely has it’s advantages!
2- What is your fav. time of the year? (I think I know this one)
Christmas is my favourite time of the year (Yes, I know you know this!) as I love the social aspect to the season. That said, I prefer the season *with* snow, which isn’t plentiful in Vancouver.
Jason asked:
1- What drives you to share your life, via the blog? Keep in mind this is from an introverted sort.
Mainly? I love the sense of community that my blog provides. Also, keeping my friends and family up to date is so much easier when they can just visit my site at their convenience to review what trouble I’ve gotten myself into recently… That said, it’s got drawbacks — I get less private communication, because the people close to me do keep up with me via my blog. I’m not a terribly private person, and so a public means to keep track of my life works for me. I enjoy reading back!
2- Rowing or motorcycling? If you had to choose.
Damn, that’s tough. I can’t choose — I love them both for very different reasons. I guess if push came to shove, I’d choose my active lifestyle over the bike, for health reasons.
Donna asked:
1- Sting or thud?
Easy! Sting… Thuds leave much more permanent and long-lasting injuries, in my past experience.
2- Coming to BIO on Saturday?
I’m sorry I missed it! I had a prior engagement that was planned long in advance. I hope you had an awesome time, despite being sick!
Mar asked:
1- What does your perfect breakfast include?
Mmmmm… Definitely a crepe from “Cafe Crepe” with Nutella, Coconut, and Banana! Add to that a very big-assed Illy americano, and I’m in heaven!
2- Your favorite place for vacation
My favourite place changes regularily… At the moment? I’d have to say Aruba — The day I spent there from a past cruise was spectacular… Beautiful place.
Aginoth asked:
1- Coffee – Has it got to be fresh filtered or will instant do?
I’m a coffee FREAK. It has to be espresso, if available, and made with really good beans. No instant for this chick unless I have absolutely no other choice. Hehhe…
2- What’s the most peaceful place you have ever been?
When I lived in Sechelt, on the Sunshine Coast, I was a block away (or so) from the ocean. I loved to sit on this huge rock (it was probably about 8 feet high) and look out to the incoming and outgoing tides. So quiet. It was a wonderful spot to suntan and read, too.
Yaeli asked:
1- What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
This is an easy one! Without a doubt, I hated working at this one clothing store when I was 18. I took this job while working another job, so that I could get ahead… But, when I thought about how much I hated it, I just never went back! Took me all of 3 months to figure it out — That, and almost falling asleep on my way home from work on the freeway one day. Bye bye, bad clothing job!
2- Paper or plastic?
I miss the option! We haven’t had paper bags in the major grocery stores here in Vancouver for many years — I have fond memories of helping my Mom up to the house with the paper bags, and then folding them when the groceries were put away. There was something very satisfying about that task.
Florish asked:
1- What one thing have you created with your own two hands are you proud of?
I create for a living… (Or, part of my living, at least) so this is a tough one. Outside of business, I would have to say that I’m really proud of a dress that I sewed a few years ago. I still wear it occasionally — It fits perfectly.
2- Where is the number one place you would like to visit for vaction?
Right now, that’s a toss-up, and both will be visited in about a month! The South of France… And Sweden! I can’t wait!
Cin asked:
1- Is there anything you regret NOT doing?
I’m a firm believer in not having regret in life… That said, I can’t say, when looking back, that there is anything I wished I’d done that I didn’t do. The reason? My travels and experiences I chose to have lead me to where I am now, and quite honestly, I’m incredibly happy where I am now.
2- What scares you most?
Heheh… A world-wide shortage of chocolate. Now, that’s scary!
Intergalactic Gladiator asked:
1- Black or red?
Both! Red is my favourite colour, but I love wearing black!
2- What is your favorite cheese?
Old cheddar, combined with really good quality crackers… Yum!!
Wisecrow asked:
1- If you live in Canada, are you a David Francey fan (methinks you should consider it)?
I guess I need to google that name. Should I know who David Francey is?
2- How does one become a dual citizen (since my citizenship is in a country rife with corruption, bad indifferent politicians, and general malaise)?
With a good education, it’s simple to get a dual citizenship in Canada! Or, marry one!
joeinvegas asked:
1- Do you really wear the leather pants?
Yep, I really do! And, they are really uncomfortable, unless I’m sitting on my bike! And, they are very necessary, so my knee reminds me regularily.
2- Any snow or cold sports? You talk about bikes and rowing and lots of things that are not always cold.
I LOVE the snow… Cross-Country skiing, (I’m taking skate ski lessons this year!) and downhill skiing are my favourite winter sports.
Utenzi asked:
1. If price was no object, what bike would you own?
A Ducati… 1000DS Supersport! Click here to see this sweeeeet ride!
2. Would you ever cut your hair short?
I have, actually, shaved my head on the sides and back, leaving only the top full of 2 inch-long curls. God, was that a mistake! …Mind you, that was back in 1988. I was quite foolish then. — Now, I might cut it to a bob, similar to my pink wig photo in the gallery, but not for a few years.
Otto
asked:
1- What’s your favorite scary film?
I’d have to say “The Ring”. Very scary, very good!
2- Anything for an adrenaline boost ‘sides bike riding?
Ha. Well, since my family reads this site, I’ll be good! I’d have to say my sports-related activities give me an adrenaline rush when I push myself.
Russ asked:
1- Whiskey or Tequila?
Well… Tanya on Tequila is a BAD idea. So, I’ll go with the default Whiskey answer!
2- Pretty boy or Bad boy?
A little bit of both. I like a bit of a bad-boy attitude, but prefer a guy who takes care of his appearance.
Dawn asked:
1- are you a morning or night person?
Most definitely a night person. I often joke that I don’t actually wake up until 8pm at night.
2- are you a good cook?
Sometimes! I certainly have recipes that I’ve made a lot, so they always turn out… Like several Thai dishes. I also love baking!
That was fun guys!

you say that like longer lasting injuries is a *bad* thing. I’m rather delightfully amused by the fact that my back is a bit sore to touch today.
very cool! I may have to borrow this for my blog.
OK I’m doin’ this on my site real soon. It’s wonderful to get to know people.
And by the way, if I ever do get to BC I am going to show you the finer points of Tequila.
LOL, D!
Sophie — You should!
Russ — Hrm. Trust me, it’s a bad idea. I’m a little insane (and um, that’s not the half of it, really) when I’ve had a few shots of Ta-kill-ya.
mmmm…. thai food. My problem is that I like to cook but only if it’s for lots of people – with Reilly even if we do cook we just run back to our computers and gobble everything down, so it seems so pointless to put lots of time and effort in it. All the more reason to invite people over, I suppose! (still drooling just thinking about Thai… it’s clearly supper time me thinks
David Francey: I had never heard of him either…. turns out he is a folk singer. How did we miss that? lol
Hey Tanya, the Ducati’s valve adjustments are 7 billable hours at a shop, and need to be done every 10,000kms. Good tatse though.
Doh!!! Good taste, I mean. You haven’t mentioned any tats.
