Oh man, I hate shopping for clothes!

Perhaps I’m overly picky, but there wasn’t a darned dress that I tried on (and I must have tried on about 20) after work today that I would have paid any money for, let alone be caught dead in. Yuck. I left the mall with sore feet and a dejected look on my face. I’d make a dress for the Captain’s Dinner, but I’ve left it too late for that… So, unless something amazing jumps out at me during a lunch hour walk, I’m going to have to go with the dress that I originally purchased but don’t really like all that much after trying it on again the other day. Oh well. It’s a dress. It fits. It’ll do.

I actually toyed with the idea of wearing my fancy shmansy black corset with a long black skirt, but, I don’t think it’s appropriate, because it’s quite see-through. It maybe perfect for a fetish night out, but it certainly doesn’t scream “Wear me to the Captain’s Dinner!”. Too bad, because it looks super sexy on me. *sigh*

I’m off to go and celebrate Quentina’s birthday, now! Happy Birthday Q!!!

    more see through!

btw, coming to Cirque on Saturday? Some friends are having a little pre-party to get ready and such at a friends place. wanna come? :)

Layman… I’m NOT wearing the see-through corset. At least not by itself. If I wear it, it’ll be covered up. So photos will be fairly tame, if I wear it. Did I mention I’m probably not wearing it?

Heh. You would say that Donna… LOL! Re: Cirque: Well, that *is* the night of the Captain’s Dinner, so by the time that’s done, Cirque will likely be err, finished? I might go to the other event, though. Depends on if the person I ask along will join me! ps: Where’s your damn site?

greetings, Michele sent me! I, too, detest clothes shopping. couple reasons… shopping for me sucks because in the last 5 years i have gained 50 pounds (no kidding) and now that i am fat nothing fits. shopping for my kids sucks because when something says 12 months… it fits a 3month old, unless its pants then 12 months means at twelve months you will be rolling the cuff twice because they are still too long, but you can barely squeze a diaper clad heine into the waist.

    good luck finding your dress,

  • I don’t know Quentina but I wish her Happy Birthday anyway! (lol) And thanks for the lovely Thanksgiving Day wish….It’s always a very nice Holiday, to me….

I am sure you will look lovely no matter what you wear…but I’t love to see the picture of that dress, standing next to the captain, of course! . Happy Thanksgiving, happy bday to your friend,
    Michele sent me this morning.

There is a death. A black corset; my motif for dying. Being teased to death – by T.

    *grin* Try lifetheuniverseanddonna.ca. :)

Yep, I updated the blogroll with your updated URL. ;)

Heheh… Layman, you are really funny! Perhaps you should try stand-up?

  • Sue says:

    You have two choices here:

    1) Wear the black corset. The people at the club need to have a little shock now and then just to keep things interesting.

    2) Wear the other undesired dress.

Oh wait no, there’s a third option:

    3) Come to my house tomorrow, help me to colour my hair properly, and choose one of the countless dresses hanging in my closet. I’m certain we can do the necessary tweaks and pinches to make it fit you because I have things in sizes ranging from 8 to 16. Seriously, I have at least 6 dresses that are just hanging around waiting for a new friend to love them.

So lets see… fancy-schmancy, check. Lacy, check. Sexy, check. See-through, ooh la la, check. Nope, I don’t see any problem is with your dress, it’s got my vote ;)

I’m a newbie in this big city, what’s the “Cirque?”

  • NetChick says:

Thanks so much for your offer, Sue! Please see my email… And, I kinda agree that shock is sometimes fun, but I’m sure there’s quite enough in the gossip mill right now at the club without me adding to it. LOL!

:) Hehe… MJ you do get a vote, because you are my date for the evening! Perhaps I can find a compromise somehow. We’ll see.

Cirque? Donna’s referring to Cirque de Sade, and it’s a fetish party that is held once a month… It’s a new BIO event.
