A different dilemma!
I’ve gone from one extreme to the other with clothes shopping. Tonight I decided to dash out to Metrotown on the Skytrain and see if I could quickly see anything that would work for Saturday night before going with my fall-back outfit.
So, when it rains it pours, apparently. I spent WAY WAY WAY too much money tonight. I already had in mind exactly the two outfits I was looking for… And wouldn’t you know it, I found them both! First, I found the skirts at one store, and then, much to my um, dismay, those skirts matched perfectly (how weird!) the two matching peices in another store.
Crazy. And, of course, the shopping frenzy didn’t stop there… I had to buy accessories. And well, perfume, because I’m almost out. And, a new black clutch purse. I went so crazy tonight that my last purchase was blocked by the credit card company because I never spend like this. I guess they thought my card had been ripped off by some nutty chick on a shopping rampage. Except, that nutty chick was me.
Oh well. I now have one outfit that will pack really well (slinky black shirt and tango skirt) without wrinkling for my upcoming trip, and an outfit that is timeless and classy, and can definitely stay in my closet for future uses as well (And, it just happens to be a perfect way for me to wear the corset, should I choose to go that route.)
So, now of course, the dilemma. Which outfit???!? Both would be ideal for the Captain’s Dinner. I think I need to have a girlfriend over to help me with this one. Any takers?

Mel, I thought of that… And then I remembered that Vern has my camera in Africa right now. So, no photos for me. (I’ve been going through camera withdrawl for 1.5 weeks now) A great idea, though!

Sounds like you have a fun dilemma. Can you take all the outfits and choose a 1/2 hour before you have to leave? Your mood might dictate which one to wear. Although personally I think the corset sounds DIVINE…
Cin’s idea sounds good to me. I always like to keep the options open.
I love the idea of taking them and deciding then. Although an outfit that packs well may be a good idea.
