Maybe snow??!

Wow, looks like Vancouver might get snow tonight! How exciting! My favourite thing to do in the winter is to go for a midnight walk in the fresh snow when it’s still falling. I did that by myself last year along the seawall… It was so peaceful.
UPDATE: 10:15pm: IT’S SNOWING! Wahoo!!!! Okay, it’s not sticking where I live in Coal Harbour (Near Stanley Park, for you out-of-towners), but it is falling! YAY!
Snow also helps me get into the Christmas spirit. I guess I’ve been conditioned, even here in Vancouver where it rarely snows or lasts for long, to think of Christmas when some snow occasionally appears. What puts you in the Christmas spirit?

I’m hoping for huge dump of snow—last Winter when we had that little 5 cm (I think it was in Jan) they shut my work down becuase none of the trucks could get around the city and valley. I’m sort of hoping for that this week. …..and I miss a good old snow ball fight!
Let it snow, let it snow, let snow…
I hear that all the mountains are already open in Vancouver. In Toronto here we had a freaking blizzard last week. You think you want snow and that it will be all pretty and nice but you forget how awful and cold and annoying it is to brush the snow off your car before the sun comes up. enjoy the snow.
yay snow! this makes me beam so i hope it happens! i have already begun listening non-stop to ‘a charlie brown xmas’ and also to ‘the nutcracker’ cds so snow would be the excellent topper! then all that’s left is to put up our huge ass tree and decorate.
Damn I’m going to be cold tomorrow. Good thing Jen’s bringing back my coat.
Definetely snow. Michele sent me.
Hey Tanya, The kids saw snow here yesterday, and got so excited, yelling and jumping up and down that it was Christmas, and running up and hugging me. I hope it does snow, so I can see the excitement on the kids faces again. That really put me in the spirit of Christmas. Hope to see you before you go, if you have time. take care
As much as it drives me nuts sometimes, the decorations in the malls and stores always get me in the Christmas spirit.
(PS Hello. Michele sent me!)
Christmas carols. Proper ones, church ones, old ones. The ones featuring Glorias and Hallelujahs. Not those Rudolph ones.

Yay! Snow!!! I kinda wish it snowed in Sydney and then I think about how slushy snow gets when it melts and I decided that I wouldn’t like it after all.

I think eastern Ontario got your weather….it’s been raining for days and melting our snow, lol.
Sent by michele!
I love snow as long as it 1. doesn’t last long, and 2. doesn’t turn all grey & yellow! Having said that, and given the fact I live in Boston, that doesn’t happen often LOL! Hi, Michele sent me
SNOW! I’m jealous!! We were told all day yesterday that we’d wake up to snow this morning… AND of course we didn’t! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such nice comments. I enjoyed your place very much. I’ll be back!!!
Have a great day!
I have never seen the snow by the seawall. I bet that was beautiful.
Thanksgiving meals with family kicks off that Christmas spirit. Getting ready decorating and baking for friends and family in your home is alot of fun for me.
Hope you got to take that midnight walk. Sounds like an amazingly peaceful thing to do.
As fo rme – smells of the season get me going – evergreen, gingerbread, sugar cookies. yum!
Snow! I want some snow- its supposed to be in the 60s this week!
Snow, or at the very least a chill in the air. Not much of either here in Florida though. *sighs*
I LOVE Vancouver, btw. It’s one of my very favorite cities. Gorgeous, gorgeous and very laid back. Must be a west coast thing.
Hi – Michele sent me. Nice to meet you!
Our weather here has been crazy. Not much to put us in the christmas spirit. We are hitting 80F off and on… too hot!
Here via Michele
Hello, Michele sent me.
I, too, love snow. It is currently snowing here and we got about an inch overnight. I live in Minnesota, so it might be coming your way. Nope. Since I am not so good at geography, I just looked it up and you are way west of us. I feel dumb. Sorry. Anyway, enjoy your snow.
Snow gets me in the Christmas spirit, too. How do the Floridians do it?
I wish it’d snow here… I was just glad it got down into the mid-40’s here last night.
Michele says hello…
I love snow (and live in one of the snowiest cities in the U.S., Rochester NY). Vancouver is a fabulous city – - I so wish I could move there. I visited it 2 years ago and fell in love – snow or no snow.
Michele sent me today!
hi from Michele
cons for being the site of the day
enjoy the snow
Hey T,
We got a bit of a dump here in the Okanagan last night, a couple of inches. Took a drive and it was pretty nasty out there.
Sure looks purdy though.
This time I’m here via Michele. Congrats on being her Site of the Day! Its what my blog aspires to be when it grows up.
Is it stil snowing there?
I love snow; I’ve only seen it a few time since coming to Canada.
I long to play in the snow, but alas, I am at home preparing for my final case exam, which is very serious….
Hi, Michele sent me and while I’m not keen on snow, I’m glad for you!!
My little boy would be beside himself if we were having your weather. It is warmish (68 degrees F) and rainy here on the North Carolina coast.
Michele sent me today.
Congrats on Site of the Day! Michele sent me
Woohooo!
Congrats on being the site of the day babe! I’m really hoping for more snow this evening – and that it sticks. wouldn’t that be perfect for the Stanley Park Bright Lights train?
**blush** I went to see your pictures in the post below, Tanya, and you both look great. Like you noted tho–that jacket was an essential part of the ensemble! LOL *whew* I’m still feeling all a-flutter.
BTW, you have such a wonderful smile–you both looked like you had a great time.
Congratulations again on being site of the day, Tan(ya)!
Woohooo!
Congrats on being Michele’s site of the day. I’m hoping the snow starts again soon, and sticks. Wouldn’t that be perfect for the Stanley Park Bright Lights train?
Happy Tuesday!
Wow… you hit the Big Time. Michele’s site of the day!!!
But you know, I found you months ago without help from her.
Doesn’t that make me special???
Well, doesn’t it??

And, yes, Russ… That makes you special LOL. I forget now, how did you find my site?
