Go sell crazy somewhere else!

…We’re all full up here.

T-Minus 55 hours, 50 minutes. Let’s take stock…

  • One very swollen left eye — That’s what I get for rubbing it with apparently bacteria-ridden hands
  • One messy place- I haven’t had time to clean (sorry Al!)
  • One nasty cold that came on full-bore yesterday
  • One empty suitcase
  • Two gifts to buy on the busiest shopping day of the year — Please feel sorry for me.
  • One carry-on bag with wheels to aquire, somehow, in that insanity they call a mall
  • Nine toiletry items to purchase for my trip at London Drugs… Hope I have five hours to wait in line there
  • Four boxes of Pop Tarts to pick up and take with me (I *seriously* don’t travel without that necessity!)
  • One Christmas party that I’ll likely be missing tonight because of being sick :( Sorry Dee.
  • Three coffees with Grand Marnier by noon today (I love my office)
  • One project that I have to come in tomorrow to deal with (dammit)
  • Eight guest bloggers who I can’t wait to see posting here!
  • (Is this starting to sound like the 12 Nightmares of Christmas yet?)
  • Two family gatherings to attend in the next two days
  • Zero turkey dinners… (As my Dad kindly put this morning: “You’d rather be flying to Europe than eat Christmas dinner with us… *sigh*”) Oh well. There’s always next year.
  • Five legs of flights and three legs of rail finally booked and confirmed
  • One hotel in Paris that I still need to book an extension of one day for (I’ll do it when I get there — What’s the worst that can happen? All full up at the Inn? I’ll sleep on the streets! Think of the adventure I’ll have then!)
  • One very long task list that I need to accomplish before I head to the airport at 4:30pm on Christmas Day

So, what’s on your “taking stock” list this Christmas? Please make mine sound like it’s nothing! Please?

Hah! I’m done. Presents are wrapped, knitting is finished, cards are made… and I’m even already at my parents place. All I have to do is follow my mom around tomorrow morning while SHE finishes shopping. Since I’m not actually buying anything, it’s going to be fun! :)

Six packages to wrap. One cake to bake. One incredibly messy house. The messy house part is a given around here.

  • Jen says:

Uhm… three presents that need to be wrapped, one bag that needs to be packed.

Two cups of holiday cheer so far this morning (coffee/baileys).

Sorry Chick. My Christmas looks to be smoooooth sailing from here on in.

But remember, I’ll be back at work long before you’re even back on the continent! So I think you deserve the crazy (at least for a couple days!)

  • NetChick says:

Damn. I forgot about the wrapping part.

    *sigh*

  • Hey Darlin, oh my, swollen eye? A cold? And you have to do all that running around? awww! *hugs* Wont it feel wonderful when you settle into that British Airways flight and you get a good stiff drink and you’ll be excited about your upcoming adventure?

Email on the way :) I miss you…

  • NetChick says:

Doh… OK I apparently should be panicking but I’m not! I got almost everything done tonight but packing, wrapping, and my last project that I’ll do tommorow. I’m ok with that.

Oh, and my eye is starting to feel better, too.

    Things are looking up!

The only thing I have yet to do is wish you a wonderful vacation.
    Oh… now I guess I’m done!!
Have a great time, I’ll keep an eye on Vancouver for you while you’re gone.

  • NetChick says:

I hope that you do, Russ! Enjoy your visit to this beautiful place! Wish I was here to show you around…

    Merry Christmas!
