It totally sucks when…
…You make a joke that a close friend finds totally offensive and takes it as a personal slight, but doesn’t say anything about it for weeks afterwards.
And, it really bothers me on so many levels that this person was so hurt by my off-handed remark, and didn’t bother to tell me for so long.
I can’t win them all, I guess.

Hey tanya, love the redesign. Damn news reader. I would think that your friend probably needed time to cool off and gather their thoughts before saying anything. I’m pretty much the same way actually.
Unfortunately you can’t please everbody all of the time… and if your friend waants to hold on to the bad feelings for weeks on end well poo to that cos theres not much you can do.
