Two Fer Tuesday…

Here’s a Two Fer Tuesday question for you!

What two things in your life are stressing you out the most right now?

I’ll start:

  1. Getting a solid answer from my new possible landlords is stressing me out at the moment. Apparently, according to the company that’s representing the landlord in the US, this company takes a long time to decide on prospective tenants. Meanwhile, we’re left hanging after giving notice to move… And not even knowing the date of occupancy. I hope they get on the ball with our tenancy, though. I really want this place, but I feel like I should still look around ‘just in case’. What a pain!
  2. Getting all my stuff sorted and the unneeded stuff weeded through before packing it all up. I guess I’d better get to that soon, because our tenancy could start as early as the 15th of March. Ewww… Packing!

Your turn!

1.) I’m not stressed about anything…. life is great! Sunshine is here, I take in a deep breath and go “Ahh! Life is good! I’m alive an’ young and healthy an’ in love” and then all stress goes away… until I start thinking about the move. Oh shit! The move! Money for movers! Money for deposit! Packing! Will my boss give me a day off?! Where will all my stuff fit? Will Tanya be ok with my collection of Elvis figurines? The 28th floor, right by the water? What if there’s an earthquake or a tsunami? Ackkkkkkk!

    2.) My sudden mood swings.

    1. My second draft of the business plan is due to the head honchos in Toronto in a few days and I’m awaiting insight from volunteer committees – so much fun! Although the first round was well received its always stressful awaiting feedback.

    2. I’m sick – without TV. It sucks. I work from home so its not like I have anywhere to go. I can’t call in sick to myself. :P

    3. Job applications – there are too many opportunities right now. Not something to complain about for sure but crafting the perfect introductory e-mail is always a mild challenge.

Hi Tanya, I’m in the same boat as you with packing. That’s stressing me out, but most of all, the huge mortgage we have to budget for now. It’s exciting, yet very stressful too. I just want to settle in. Good luck with yours too.

  • Sue says:

    1) An extremely long to-do list at work – more projects than I can ever hope to get done within a reasonable amount of time.

    2) My apartment is a complete wreck. It hurts to look at it, it’s so messy, but who has energy to clean after 12-hour days in the office?

  • goofy girl says:

This is weds not tues but I’d still ike to contribute!

    1. Doing all this cold calling for the health fair, hard discouraging work.
    2. My thumb hurts a lot, prolly from too much comp use.

  • Al! says:

heh, good luck with opening that closet off the dining room. Do you want some help with it? (standing by with the phone to call the paramedics in and the fire dept. to rescue you when the pile collapsess) :P

  • Thomasso says:

    1. Getting through my courses: English exams, midterms, dead-lines, papers, group projects, admissions, next term, readings and essays–1st, 2nd & final drafts.

    2. Setting up my website with the new server; which by the way I have you T to thank! Yes, it was your endorsement that drove me to California :) They seem to be very helpful to us newbies with their tech support. A lot of work though? When things go wrong, they go wrong! BACK UP YOUR DATABASE…. ;)

  • NetChick says:

Wow guys, it seems that I’m not the only one with a lot on my mind!

Glad Site5 is working for you, Tom!

Ho ho, Al. Aren’t you just a funny, funny boy? Actually, I was thinking of tackling that either Thursday or this weekend… Combined with a LOT of beer. Because, otherwise, I’ll end up keeping everything, and I don’t need that circus act in our new home… Besides, it won’t fit. I don’t have the same kind of insuite storage.

  • Hi there :) This is just a note to let you know that your blog has been chosen to be reviewed in our weekly blog review spot at the Mystickal Incense Blog! Thanks for submitting your site!

    1. My day job. It’s driving me up the wall. Even though I have the same job description as I had in Edmonton, the job is completely different and it’s AWFUL here. Only, if I leave now I need to go somewhere else and it will take longer to be in a position to do photography full time. If I stay, I will be in a position to quit and both Reilly and I will be self employed by the first week of March next year (when the yearly bonus cheque comes out.) I’m just not the kind of person to put up with crap, even though I know it gets us further ahead if I stay. The whole situation is driving me insane.

    2. Next to #1 there isn’t really a #2. I suppose time could be #2… I’m spending every waking minute I can working on the business to get it running at full capacity as quickly as possible. There’s always so much more to do and never enough time… I’ve got tonnes of documentation to write (everything from info sheets on how to use the DVDs of images we provide to ordering 101 sheets for our couple’s parents), new marketing material to work on, new sample albums to design, my own albums to design and craft, and countless other tasks. I just need more hours!

  • NetChick says:

Thanks for taking the time to review my blog Stephanie! I was going after a clean design with the layout update, and I imagine some will find it rather boring with all the whitespace. I like it, though.

It’s also a work-in-progress as I may be porting the whole front end over to a dynamic flash interface. We’ll see if I ever have time for that.

    Cheers!
