I think I have sucker written across my forehead!

Man, my luck with eBay, and online purchases in general (leaving out ezgrocer.ca which is incredibly AWESOME!) is abysmal. Seriously.
As many of you have read, with my new laptop purchase, I had to install all new versions of my programs because my old licenses went with the old laptop to my step-mom. Consequently, [...]

Click here for yet another halarious eBay auction.
Have a wonderful Friday, everyone! Now, where did I put [...]

FREE TICKETS!

I’ve got a free pair of tickets to the first person who comments here for tonight’s TheatreSports on Granville Island!
The show is at 7:30, and you need to claim the tickets by 7:15 at the box office…
I’d go, but I’ve got the lovely Cin coming over tonight for some wine and girl chat!
So! [...]

Ikea, you SUCK: Your online ordering stinks. Period.

[rant] ARRRGH! I’m so mad right now!
After spending quite a bit of time figuring out the desk configuration for our new office, converting Ikea’s stupid centimeter measurements to inches, (yes, I live in Canada, but the bloody tape measures here are in feet, not centimeters you dorks) and finalizing my choices online — I go [...]

Creature of habit, no question

Yikes! It’s become abundantly clear to me that I’m a creature of habit. I’m not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but, I guess the first step to changing is recognizing that I am one. (That is, of course, if I decide I need to change.) [...]

Lucky girl

[gush]
Michael has been so, so patient with me lately. My back is causing me a great deal of pain, because I didn’t take my time and rushed through packing, moving, unpacking, cleaning, and organizing (not like it’s even close to done yet), and my pain has really put a damper on all (yes, I [...]

One down…

…One to go.
I’m basically finished. I unpacked my last box today, cleaned my old place with my Sweetie’s help, and just have some re-organizing to do of all my crap, so that when Michael finishes his end of the move in the next few days, he’ll have some space to integrate his belongings.
And speaking [...]

Quick observations on moving!

FREEKIN’ THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY!
Hope everyone else had a great Friday night! Mine wasn’t so bad, after…
Point form observations on today:

Waking up at 6:30am isn’t a good way to start a moving day. Get a good night’s sleep. Period. (Take sleeping pills if you have to.)
Having a meltdown at 8am isn’t a good way [...]

ACK!

I really, really, really, really, really HATE MOVING.
Someone thump me over the head if I even mention doing it again for a very long time.
The only good thing I can say about today is… It’s the last day living in this place. Tomorrow I’ll be in a beautiful new home, and officially co-habitating with [...]

Better than expected!

Nothing with this upcoming move has gone without some sort of screw up… From my upcoming landlord making us sign a 10 page lease, to her threatening to put it back on the market because she didn’t get a signed copy and postdated cheques back in the mail to the States in a timely fashion [...]

Although I’ll try…

I’m not too sure how much time I’ll have until this moving week is finished to post about anything meaningful. I’m moving Friday afternoon… After getting the keys Friday morning. So, that means, I don’t even have an opportunity to do a pre-emptive strike with some of my pricier equipment that I don’t [...]

I’m so looking forward to rowing again!

This last Friday night, while out watching boobies with a bunch of friends (see Lara’s post below — Ha!), Deanna mentioned that she was looking for a fourth person for her quad.
I couldn’t believe my ears! I’ve been making it known that when I get back to the club, I’d love to find a [...]

Guest Post: Beer and Boobies and Roommates

Ok - so Tanya has begged me to report on the Burlesque show at the Lamplighter pub last night. Since I can still feel the ill-effects of last night’s debauchery I thought I’d do so now. Needless to say it was a blast. Out of the festivities I have determined that:
(a) I want bigger [...]

Girl Talk

I just got back from having a coffee with F. — It was delightful! Our chat reminded me that I don’t get out enough with my girlfriends, to have girl time, and to yack about girl stuff.
I’m going to move this type of personal time closer to the top of my list of [...]

Feelin’ good, feelin’ lucky! [ I feel GRRREAT! ]

I’m actually feeling pretty good about my accomplishments at work lately. I’ve finally been able to tackle the learning curve with SSL, Apache, mySQL, PHP, and FTP server installation on a local box for live web applications here at the office. That was a feat, and not without obstacles. But, it’s all [...]

Some things aren’t meant for re-sale.

Thanks, Al, for sharing this with me today. That ad provided me with just the visual I needed.
All I can say is… GROSS! What is someone thinking when they post that for sale? And, who’s actually going to buy that, and USE it?
Yikes.
UPDATE: Hmmm… Someone gave the ad writer a heads up. [...]

I know, I know…

The move hasn’t even happened yet, but we needed something fun to look forward to besides boxes and more boxes over the next few weeks. With the move happening next Friday, we thought it was time to set a date for our upcoming housewarming party…
So! The Evites are out, kids! April 22nd [...]

I’d like to shoot the creators of M$’s activation scheme.

There. I said it.
Last night, after I psyched myself out for a late night of creativity and goal-achieving with my projects, I was quickly stopped short when my computer decided it was time to reboot out of the blue, and the activation page appeared.
Fine, I thought. Rightfully, my 30 days were up… I’ll [...]

Chef, you suck.

Did you hear? Isaac Hayes, who voices the character Chef on South Park, has quit the show over its “continual ridiculing of religion”.
Uh, gimme a break Isaac Hayes. Don’t freekin’ lie. You’ve stuck around for the previous 10 seasons when the show ridiculed all the other religions *except* yours. Now, with [...]

I’m seriously tired today!

I really need another weekend! I’m exhausted.
I can’t believe I’ve gotta wait another 5 days… This is definitely going to be a busy work-week for me.
Oh, and, the packing has now begun. Fun. NOT. I’m so glad I hired movers!
