I think I have sucker written across my forehead!

Man, my luck with eBay, and online purchases in general (leaving out ezgrocer.ca which is incredibly AWESOME!) is abysmal. Seriously.

As many of you have read, with my new laptop purchase, I had to install all new versions of my programs because my old licenses went with the old laptop to my step-mom. Consequently, I chose to buy some of my needed software on eBay to make the extensive purchases a little easier on the pocketbook.

It’s like I don’t learn. Maybe it’s my blondeness? Maybe it’s my far-too-innocent need to believe everyone has the best of intentions with eBay sales? I gotta change that.

I bought an urgently needed version of MS Office 2003 2 weeks ago from some guy in Ontario, who assured me that he’d put it in the mail that day. Now the guy isn’t even returning my emails. Ass! Now I have to go through my credit card company who will hopefully put the chargeback through without issue. Dealing with PayPal and credit card companies is sometimes frustrating. I’d know… I’ve been here before.

The moral of this story? Don’t buy from eBay sellers without fairly large feedback numbers. More likely than not, they’re fly-by-night freaks who will take your money and run.

Okay, so I’m learning, albeit slowly.

Have an incredible Friday night everyone! We’re off to deal with Ikea now!

Don’t feel badly … I don’t much like to learn either! Ha! Here from Michele’s, by the way!

If you want to have some fun with the doofus in Ontario, let’s get his name posted online. I’m sure any number of folks here would enjoy making his life a little difficult for the forseeable future.

I hate nastiness. People who defraud others via eBay – or in general, of course – are such scum.

I notice the full-functioned Office 2003 for Students is reasonably priced compared with the normal one and even includes 3 licences. Educational use only of course ;-)

…..so chapter #2 of the “Ikea Story” for tomorrow: “On-line Troubles”? Can’t wait…. he he *snicker*

TOTALLY agree on the Ebay thing. I’ve only ever bought things from people who’ve done a lot of business and we’ve been really lucky.

LOVE Ikea. Did you read about the founder of Ikea? He’s like the 4th richest man in the world and he still drives a 15 year-old car and flies coach. Cool, huh?

Oh man, that happened to me. I’m sorry you lost your money. Most eBay sellers seem to be legit, so I hope your next round works.

    Cheers!
