Movie suggestions?
I haven’t seen a good romantic comedy in a long time… I’ve seen a few romantic dramas recently (although I believe they were supposed to be comedies?) which were just “okay”, such as Prime, for instance — That was weird to see Uma Thurman in a role like that — And, this movie certainly wasn’t humourous. Just Friends was barely watchable, and all the others we’ve seen over the past few months have been “lackluster” at best. I’m quite dissapointed, really.
Has anyone seen any decent movies recently? …Any romantic comedies that were actually funny? Hell, I’ll take good, recent drama suggestions, too! Help a chick out!

We saw Inside Man last week, was entertaining. Got a little preachy at times with Spike Lee’s usual rants he works into his movies on race issues.
Here’s my master list of movies from 2006, complete with ratings and mini-reviews:

Not sure if you’re renting or going to the cinema. “Imagine Me & You” was a half-decent romantic comedy. Mind you, it was between two women, so that may or may not be your thing.
The best two movies I’ve seen this year are “Thank You for Smoking”–a very funny satire–and “Brick”–which is a little hard to describe, but excellent.
I just bought Elizabethtown with Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst. It is the best movie I have seen in a long time. And its not too mushy so MJ should be able to handle it!!
Its another Cameron Crowe movie and it leaves you loving life and wanting more. . . .
I can bring it to your party if you’d like
Cheers,
D
Thanks for the ideas, guys!
And, Deanna, that would be too awesome! I’ll be sure to get them back to you right away!
How to Lose your Lover. (leason – Don’t underestimate what’s right in front of you…Not as cold as the title might indicate…)
I don’t think I will be much help hun. I thought Just friends was hilarious. Lol I think I’m not the one to ask. Let me know if you find something good. Office space always cheers me up
