Beer, the new cure-all

Beer! Cures all that ales you!!Vern, Michael and I went to Granville Island last night to watch “Theatresports” — Improv, for those of you playing at home — as we’d won more free tickets a few days ago. Y’know, I have to say, I had a great time! Normally, I’m not a huge fan of improv, but the players on stage have been chosen well, and the audience seemed to get into it.

I was actually feeling pretty lousy by the time we were leaving to pick up Vern at the office. So much so, in fact, that I toyed with the idea of taking some Gravol before heading out. I decided against it, and thankfully the nausea subsided after a couple of bites of my dinner. By my second beer (I have no idea why I even ordered beer when I wasn’t feeling great… But, hey, why not?) I was actually feeling better than I have in over a week.

So, I have a new theory! Beer is the new cure-all! Feel sick? Grab a beer! Worked for me, anyhow!!

What do you do when you’re feeling ill? …For days?

I drink camomile tea and eat soup. And peanut butter. Peanut butter cures everything.

I used to drink tequila a lot and never caught a cold or anything. I swear, it killed the germs.

Glad you’re feeling better! I tend to live in the bathtub when I don’t feel good. As many as 6 or 7 a day.

I’m a big beliver in alcohol in large quantities as a preventative. I figure if my body can fight off hang-overs, it can fight off colds.
