Good times, and a trip to look forward to!
Well, that was an awesome weekend! We got to almost all the adventures we wanted to, except for the long walk because we both had a nap instead on Saturday afternoon — We can walk another day! We had a most excellent time with D and Vern in a *beautiful* chalet near Whistler (can you say, I need to make more money??! — Something to work towards, for sure!) and Saturday night with Iris and Rudy was a blast. We ended up drinking a bunch of red wine while waiting for the late movie of Devil Wears Prada, which wasn’t as good as the book, but still an enjoyable movie. Sunday’s Scrabblathon with Lara and Deanna was seriously halarious… We made M an honourary chick for the day, and screached out old-school Madonna tunes while laughing and placing tiles to score big. Good times, girls… Good times!
Michael and I have finally arranged for our flight to Tampa in November for our upcoming cruise! Well, at least, I *hope* we’ve arranged our flight — I ended up buying off eBay from a very well-respected charity organization that was offering 2 return flights from anywhere in the contigeous US and Canada. It turned out to be a ton cheaper to buy them this way than to fly from Vancouver to Tampa with any airline we’ve explored. Getting to Seattle was problematic at best, so, for basically the same price, we’re taking an AA flight from here.
I can’t believe it’s only a few months until we’ll be on the RCCL ship, Legend of the Seas, exploring the Western Caribbean for 7 nights with my Dad, his wife, and their close friends. I also can’t believe that this will be my seventh cruise! I’m terribly excited to show Michael what he’s been missing, never having cruised before — It’s going to be awesome! …And, travelling with my Dad and Sharon is a ton of fun, as my Dad was in the travel industry before he retired so he always challenges me to get a lot out of my cruise adventures!
Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines is foreign for me, as I’ve never been on any their ships for any of my previous cruise experiences — I hope they have as many activities that Princess and Carnival has offered to me in the past! Has anyone else reading this been on a RCCL cruise? What was your impressions of the adventure?

Puerto Rico
11 nights of southern Caribbean bliss upon the Empress of the Seas! It’s their smallest ship, but it has to be in order to get into the smaller ports. And we’re doing 2 extra nights in San Juan at the beginning.
Ahhhh, RCCL! The M-man and I are cruising with them for our honeymoon in December! I don’t have any info for you, as this will be our first cruise EVAH! But we are definitely excited about it!
Thanks for the tip, Al!! I’ll take a look at that one. I often read the history on newsgroups, but there’s usually nothing positive to discuss there…
And, don’t worry, Vern! I’ll make sure that M gets out with just you to decompress!
B — Neat! Which boat and itinerary are you going on?

a coworker recommended this site. they create a forum thread for each and every cruise departing from anywhere for people to discuss it, etc.
Don’t you immasculate Michael!!! Evil horrible girls! Nasty little creatures the lot of you are!
Im going to have to take him out and make sure he has an extra 12 beer than normal before returning him.
that will smarten you up!
Oh! I wasn’t immasculated… sure I learned how to sing old-school Madonna, learned all about what makes a bra comfortable, what makes for a cute guy, and OMG! how dancing to Sinatra on the beach is like *such* a romantic first date, and….
…
Help me!
