Moving on, to more positive stuff!
I had a really, really great weekend!! Friday night, Michael and I took my step-Mom out for her birthday with her friend, and we all enjoyed Improv on Granville Island, and then a nice dinner at Dockside. Theatresports was particularily funny this time around, as the actors actually re-inacted my Friday, which was a particularily interesting workday for us all. Very funny skit that they did four times, each time speeding up the day’s details. It had Penney in tears. Literally! Glad you had a great birthday, Penney!
Saturday night was a blast — We went over to K & L’s place to play some “Pictionary”, and then “Asshole”. I really must have a Pictionary night like that at our place! We used an easel and a whiteboard, and with 5 girls against 5 guys, the slamming of the opposite sex alone was entertainment for the night. Throw in a huge game of Asshole, and everyone was laughing and making fun of the newbies — Which happened to be mostly Michael and I — Note to self: I need to learn that card game and it’s nuances! I don’t wanna be the asshole for the next game!
Sunday was really great as well! Michael and I went to Roscoe’s on Robson for breakfast/lunch, and then headed to the Rowing Club to sit on the dock and play Scrabble with Lara while enjoying one of the most amazing views in the city. Of course, even tipsy with beer, Lara kicked our asses. Oh, and a recent CSI episode came into play, too… We accidentally dropped a couple of tiles from my coveted Deluxe Scrabble board, so Michael took some gum and my hair pick, and after much effort and many pieces of gum, managed to get them back! Ha!
We ran into Faye and Robin (who’s happily on vacation in Vancouver from the UK since moving back there months ago), and the evening continued on at our place where we caught up, ate Thai, and I taught everyone how to play Carcassonne. Good times!
I hope everyone else had a fantastic weekend, too!

I much prefer being president on that game. Its dead easy to stay president once you get there. I recommend being president.
