So, what have I been up to?
The days are just flying by! I’ve been down to Seattle (and gotten the 3rd degree on both sides of the border), spent many, many hours on the road, had a weekend with my niece, gotten acclimatized to my new office, unpacked new gear, and created a go-forward strategy for my main focus at work right now. Phew!
For those of you who asked about my new job… I am the director of marketing and interactive for a marketing company which specializes in media-based organizations. I’m currently working on creating a rich media experience for a network’s web presence. …I’m really enjoying it!
All this, and Michael and I will be heading off for the Caribbean cruise in two and a half short weeks from now! The tickets for the cruise and the air finally arrived, and now we’re just counting down the days until we head out for a much-needed vacation!
What have you been up to, recently? Anything exciting?

So, how was shopping at Sea-Tac Mall?
You are such a bad liar!
more of enjoying semi-retirement.
but a job just landed in my lap for some contract work that could see me getting a 3 month contract afterwards, so off to work I go tomorrow.
Hey T glad to hear things are well. The kootenays are busy as ever and the weather(til today) has been epic. The bird and myself are off to San Fran and hopefully up to Napa or Sonoma. Any places in SF that I must see or go to eat? Thanks for the tips!
I’m excited about our haunted Vancouver trolley tour on Thursday…
feeding baby, changing baby, feeding baby, changing baby… playing with baby…. repeat repeat repeat..
Seriously though, he is an angel and I love him dearly. I am rather sleep deprived some days, but somehow you find an inner strength to just keep going and going.
I hope you both have the most fantastic time on your cruise, and a big congrats on your new job Tania.
Nothing exciting going on here, Tan. I’m just confirming genes with IHC for a paper we’re working on. Boring, I assure you.
I hope you continue to enjoy the new job. It’s apparent that you’re quite happy with it so far. Have a great time on the cruise–by then you’ll need the rest!
I was just on a 4 day cruise. It was WONDERFUL! Hope you enjoy yours. Maybe we can swap stories on your return.
Your new job sounds interesting. I’ve spent 6 months trying to figure out how, or who, can upgrade my blogger template. I’m so web illiterate…
Rog: Ha. Ya, I know. I get away with ZERO. Especially at the border. I’m a horrific liar. Next time, I’m doing as you suggested, and bringing my own ribbed latex gloves along. Damned border guards. Sheesh.
Al! Hope your first day was fun! We *must* catch up VERY soon! So much to tell you about.
Hey G! Long time no see! Hope you guys have a fantastic trip to San Fran… Don’t forget to go to the pier for some yummy fresh seafood. Mmm!
Fresnelle: I can’t wait, either! It’ll be a much-needed departure from the workload lately.
Kiwigirl! Wow… Sounds like you are really enjoying (albeit somewhat sleeplessly) your motherhood experience. That’s awesome! Let us know when you guys are available on the weekends and we’ll have to see your new addition!
Dave, your work is never boring! Always interested to hear about what you are doing. I am enjoying my new job… And, also very much looking forward to that cruise, too!
Useless: Nice! Sounds like you had a remarkable time! I couldn’t have gotten off the boat at 4 days, and it’ll be hard at 7, too. My favourite cruise to date was 11 days long, and that was just about perfect for time. Re: Blogger template — I’d post that you are looking for someone to do something fun and new for you… Bribe them with alcohol!
