Sixty-one and a half hours to go…
Not that I’m counting, or anything!
This weather is really getting to me. All this torrential, record-setting rain over the past week has put a damper on my mood, and I’m finding that all I want to do is curl up in a little ball with a nice warm blankey and dream that I’m on a beach somewhere with the nice, warm sun beaming down on my glistening body, a margarita in hand, waves washing up on shore… Ooops. Back to reality.
At least the rain has subsided, and I can cancel the order for the ark that I put in last week. The cruise ship will do.
And, wouldn’t you know it?! I checked the weather forcasts for our ports of call, and dammit, there’s rain expected there, too! I just can’t escape it! So, instead of damp and cold, I’m going to be getting damp and hot. Good times!
Okay, I think I need an attitude adjustment… I’m off to hunt and gather a stiff drink. I hope you locals aren’t finding the Vancouver weather as dreadful as I am! (and, if you are in a climate without rain, I envy you! …I’d take snow and sun right now over this rain!)

Cheer up lady! Even a rainy vacation is still a VACATION. You’ll have the best time. A stiff drink’ll fix ya.
I absolutely adore this weather! I have been going for so many walks through the leaves and the enjoying the rain.
I feel sorry for you lot actually. That sun is going to really do a number on your skin. You will come back looking 5 years older.
You will!
You’ll see!
You guys are getting all the rain we are missing on the other side of the Pacific. Our past 6 years have been the driest on record.
We celebrated last night because we had a new rainwater tank installed on Tuesday and it rained a few hours later. We now have a couple of inches in the bottom of the tank. Yee Har! What’ll it be? Top up the swiming pool? Revive some of the shrubs in the front yard? See if we can stop what’s left of the lawn from being so brown and crunchy? Decisions, decisions!
I refuse to let rain get me down! Hell, it ain’t snow… but um, er… sorry, I cant focus now that I’m thinking of the warm sun beaming down on your glistening body…
and people wonder why I’m always smiling while at my desk….
