The mid-week socializing game…

It's the mid-week socializing game!Awesome! Looks like this game has been a great success; I’m going to make this post/feature a weekly standard here!
Here’s how it works: I’ll start with a question, and the first person answers my question, and then asks a different question for the next person in the same comment.

I’ll start!

What is your favourite wine, if money was no object?
(See… I’m keeping with my theme in the previous post — Go read it, if you haven’t yet!)

  • NetChick says:

:) I’m *not* bored at work… But, I can take a moment out!

(ps: They are calling for snow on Sunday, Rog)

Dog person, definitely. I’m allergic to cats, and I grew up with a dog. I miss being able to take my dog out with me to go for hikes. It’s a great socialing tool, as well!

    Q: What’s your favourite technology gadget/item?

My question: Are you ready for spring?

  • Lara says:

favourite technology gadget/item is my sony bean. not nearly as fancy as some of the other mp3 players out there but its cute, pink and fits in the palm of my hand very nicely. much like my other favourite gadget…

    my question: WHY?

  • Rick says:

    LOL!!! Lara!!!

    Why? CUZ! (it fits?)

  • an enigma yadda yadda yadda says:

    Miranda – seen your site…
…nice work – both of you.

  • Rick says:

Miranda… you are awesome!! Those are some of the nicest photos I have seen!! 5th pic on the first gallery is incredible.

And I will let someone else play now!!

  • K says:

A male co-worker walked up to a female co-worker and slapped her in the face in the middle of the office.

I don’t work there anymore by the way.

  • NetChick says:

I’ll answer… Are you ready for Spring?

A: You bet!! I love Spring actually! I have a new housekeeper who’s awesome, and did a very long cleaning last week, so I’m ready to go!

    A: Thomas Edison

What part of Denver Rick? I used to spend a lot of time commuting from NOAA in Boulder to CO Springs (and surrounds, without getting too specific)

Q: Who was your mentor in younger life?

  • Rick says:

I’ll let someone else answer your Q there… but I live in Broomfield (about 1/2 way between Denver and Boulder), I work up in Gun Barrel (N.E. side of Boulder). I know someone who works at NOAA… and I am having a mind fart on his name at the moment… I lived in the Springs for 7 years (about 1000 years ago… ok 60′s to mid 70′s). and i went to skewl up in Langley, B.C. 76-77 which is kinda the reason I started reading T’s blog…. that and it was her birthday the first time I visited her site. I think it was a couple years ago now.

  • Patricia says:

No one answered enigma’s question so I will:

Weirdest work related experience – Human remains turned up in our lost and found once!
No kidding, real human bones turned up there. They came in a green bag with numbers on them so I took a wild guess that they were from the anatomy dept. so I rang them. Apparently they’re very expensive and difficult to replace so they really wanted them back.

Next Question: What movie scared you so much so that it stayed with you for days (weeks?)

  • Jen says:

A: The Blair Witch Project. I saw it on opening night, and didn’t hear that it “wasn’t real” (yes, I’m gulliable) until a few days later. I didn’t sleep much that weekend.

Q: I can afford one of the following – A new iPod or a new digital camera. I currently have a 2nd gen. 20gig iPod, and a fully functioning Canon S200. I want both for my upcoming trip to London, but can only buy one before I go – which would you get?

  • Vern says:

    Hewlowww?

(( pushes taped up glasses on bridge of nose ))

Are their any girls in here?

(( Rolls the dice to see if getting drunk ))

    Because, if there are…

  • Lara says:

last time i checked i qualified as a girl.

    any gentlemen kicking around?

  • Miranda says:

re: our photos, thanks guys :)

A: To Jen – this is predictable – I’d go for the new cam, depending on what you’re looking to get. You do have an ipod and can therefore take music, but you’ll want the pics to be the best they can be as you’ll be looking back on those to remember your trip!

Q: Why is Vern so awkward around members of the opposite sex? Discuss.

  • an enigma yadda yadda yadda says:

    A:

  • an enigma yadda yadda yadda says:

    hmmm, that didn’t work… …take 2:

A: I’ve was accused of being a gentleman – once.

Jen – I’ld go for the camera too – the iPod should do you… …unless you were planning to take your entire video collection with you (the airline movies aren’t that bad!)

    Pat – thanks… …and ewwwwww

Q: What’s the best place to hide a coworkers body?
[yes, I'm having one of those days]

  • Lara says:

Miranda: Vern is shy and obviously blinded by shiny things.

Enigma Wrapped in a Mystery: Who are YOU???

  • an enigma yadda yadda yadda says:

    A: A recent aquaintence of Tanya’s…

    ;-)

  • Lara says:

  • Kraut says:

Hate to be the party pooper but what was the last question? Where to hide the body or who are you?

    I am so lost.

  • NetChick says:
