The Mid-Week Socializing Game! (Happy Valentine's Day!)

It's the mid-week socializing game!Hey guys! It’s that time of the week, again… Time to socialize on the fly! (And, I’ll have one of those shots in the photo, please!)

Here’s how it works: I’ll start with a question, and the first person answers my question, and then asks a different question for the next person in the same comment.

I’ll start!

Do you believe in Valentine’s Day? (And, if so, how are you celebrating it?)

Absolutely!!! Im hope to get a visit from the Valentine’s Drink Tortuous.

How are you going to torment those (or the one) you love /are wooing/stalking on V-Day?

  • reddirtroad says:

I’m going to post a Valentine on my blog.

Now that you have grown up into an adult, do you still give your mother/father/primary caregiver a Valentine’s card?

  • Lara says:

My parents love valentines. They get all moody if I don’t recognize it.

Have you ever sent a secret crush a valentine and did it break the ice?

  • Lovewine says:

Yes…..and no. The ice was broken more by my tenacious attempts at gaining her attention. The secret valentine thing didn’t come out till later and things were rolling right along by that point…she was more smitten once the secret valentine was revealed.

What is your most memorable Valentine’s Day experience?

  • Miranda says:

Well, here at swashbuckleco people are so into love and mush and all that. Last year Reilly sent me flowers at work and within 3 MINUTES I was told to remove them from my desk and the workplace as it was possible that someone MIGHT (not was… just might, and they’re all about being proactive here) be allergic, and my flowers – despite being at least 15 feet away from anyone else – were in violation of workplace policies. I love Swashbuckleco.

Q: Valentine’s day dinner. Stay in (and what do you make if you do?), or go out and face the crowds?

  • the sister in law says:

My husband and I are going out for dinner this year nothing fancy just the 2 of us spending quality time together, than a nice romantic evening at home… I just recieved the most beautiful flowers right now as I type… hehehhe I am one lucky girlie.

What are you plans tonight? do they include someone special?

  • NetChick says:

A: I mistakenly suggested ‘later Wednesday evening’ for a first date, forgetting that it was Valentine’s Day. If all goes well, I’ll be catching up later in the evening for a drink to see if we have as much fun in person as we did on the phone the other night.

Q: Are you only truly romantic on Valentines Day, or do you come up with uniquely sweet things for your special person throughout the year?

  • utenzi says:

Happy St Valentine’s Day to you, lovely Tan.

I don’t know if you could say that I believe in the Valentine’s Day hoopla but I’m intelligent enough to know that I’d best do something for it else my ass would be fried. LOL The something this year was 18 long red roses to my girlfriend and 20 tulips to my parents. What a wonderful holiday!

  • NetChick says:

Thanks for the Valentine’s message, Dave!

Q: Do you have a favourite Valentine’s day? (Has one in the past been extra special?)

  • Vern says:

I’m horrible on V Day, and I know it. I’m relieved that I am not causing anyone pain or disappointment this time around. One year, I hope to be someone’s Valentine… properly.

Q: Have you ever done something stupid (accidentally or otherwise) on Valentine … that you really shouldn’t have… just because you were annoyed that you are SUPPOSED to behave in a particular way on that date?! (Err.. that was a question, not an admission or a rant.. necessarily)

  • Carmi says:

I sure do. It was the first one I spent with my girlfriend. We were really young, and we’d been dating for about six months. I remember the feeling of unlimited potential, of a future with a beautiful woman who loved being part of my world. I remember wanting to be her best friend forever.

We eventually married, and every Valentine’s Day has been a fulfillment of the potential we felt on that first one. Every day is a holiday with her.

    Q. Do you ever share Valentine’s with people who you know wouldn’t otherwise receive any?

  • JohnC says:

    A. Can’t honestly say. Most of the people I know DO receive and participate actively in it. I do much towards others who don’t receive otherwise, so being centered on my spouse one day a year isn’t that bad…unless I don’t…not that I ever did…uh…question time!

    Q. What is the wildest thing you’ve done (G rated) to get the attention of someone on Valentines’ Day, who didn’t know you felt that way to begin with?

  • NetChick says:

A: I’ve never tried to get the attention of anyone for Valentine’s Day, actually. :( Sorry for the lame answer!

Q: How was your Valentine’s Day evening? I hope it was special no matter what you got up to!
