22 bottles of wine on the wall…

Tonight was super-fun! Thanks to everyone who made it out, including those that I hadn’t met before — Particularily Patricia, who knew no one at the party and still made it a good time. It was great to finally meet you!

I had a fabulous time tonight, and it didn’t take much to clean up for a change, which was really nice. The wine tasting/cheese party was a great success!

I think I’ll have another Netchick Wine Fest, in a few months time (after the International Wine Festival, which by the way, I’m buying group tickets for tomorrow so do let me know

if you’d like to join us and save a few bucks!)

Okay… So several people asked about the speed dating that I attended on Wednesday, tonight. I’ve been quite ill yesterday and today, so I was trying to keep my head above water at work and had no time to blog, so I’ll give you a quick synopsis:

I met some great chicks (the highlight of the evening, mostly thanks to Vern)… And, the men there were people I would have definitely passed on if I’d met them through other means. I did check “yes” to three men (one of them was Vern, for kicks), and got two matches (and one of them obviously, was Vern) — The one that I matched with wasn’t really awesome, and, quite honestly, I probably wouldn’t bother going on another date with.

Hrrrrmph, it’s all good. I wasn’t ‘on’ that night because I was coming down with a seriously gross cold, but, even still, not-so-much. It was an adventure, but not one I’ll be going on again in the near future. I have better ways of spending $70, really.

Like, a nice bottle of wine.

Alone.

With my rabbit.

Anyhoo. I have to be up in six hours for the Northern Voice conference, so I had better get to bed.

Update: (7:25am) Damn. The combination of the cold meds, and not being able to breath while laying down has left me completely without sleep. I’m totally exhausted. Not sure I’ll be making Northern Voice at this point. Sucky!

What’s everyone else looking forward to this weekend?

Ah yes, the Rabbit. Legendary functionality and results. Good times.

Hope you feel better soon Tanya. I’ve got a car all weekend so if you need me to stop by let me know.

  • NetChick says:

Thanks L! ;) Yer the best.

I’ve elected not to go and infect 300 other bloggers today. I’m a walking germ factory, and it’s getting worse… The best/worst part was I was actually feeling great last night for the party, but then again, I did take a ton of meds (thus the no sleep).

    I’m so dissapointed.

YAAEEHHH!! For Shnewt! I’m going to dedicate this post to Shnewt… just because he actually wrote out what all the men were thinking!

How can I be more like one of these legendary rabbits?

Perhaps its a Prince’s Bride reference on ROUS’s. Rodents of Unusual Size… or were we really taking.. .Rabbits of Unusual Size?

Forgot to mention… Tammy called tonight. She flew to LA this morning… and was trying like hell to figure out what class she went to with this guy sitting next to her. At the end of the trip.. after she was wracking her brain… the flight attendant asked Fred Savage what show he was doing next. Tammy said.. I Thought I went to school with you… was drving me crazy! He said… Yeah, you look a bit like Winnie Cooper. That got her started alright.

Anyway.. off to Lotus to look for a Bunny… hopefully
one with functionality and good results.
