I'm officially sick of being in bed.
I’ve spent the past two days in bed, feeling horribly under the weather. It’s been about a year since I had a cold like this. Yuck!
Thankfully, I am just starting to be able to breath again without being high on cold meds.
And so, I’m getting my sorry ass out of bed and tuning into the Oscars in the livingroom. Why the livingroom? Two reasons… 1: Lara picked up my bedroom tv today (I hope you get a lot of great watching in, Lara!) and I haven’t yet put together my new computer equipped to tune cable, and 2: I’m so done with being in bed!!
Have you been watching the Oscars so far? I just heard that Hudson won for best supporting actress in “Dreamgirls” — A movie I have no interest in seeing from everything I’ve heard about it.
I wish Abigail Breslin from “Little Miss Sunshine” would have won. That movie was my favourite this past year, hands down!
Update: 8:15pm — YAY! Michael Arndt won for Best Original Screenplay for “Little Miss Sunshine”!

I watched the whole thing and was pleasantly surprised at how different it was and how well it went.
Hope you are feeling way better tomorrow.
Hey Tan–I hope you feel better soon. There’s nothing worse than being laid up sick in bed. Curl up on the couch & pour yourself a glass of wine.
Bleh, I hear you. It’s quite a bug. TV awards are good shiny distraction.
That’s funny ’cause I’m officially tired of going to work. I think I need a vacation.
Feel better girl.
hope you’re feeling better!
I don’t get the Oscars… They hold no appeal for me.
I wish they were more exciting and then maybe I’d watch them.
Hi T:
Hope you’re feeling better.
There have been a lot of colds n’ flus going around. More than 10 people at NV got sick including half the organizers (I got a cold too). More than likely because at lunch we all had to walk at least 10 minutes in the freezing rain to get to a food place (it was reading break so most things on UBC campus that were nearby were closed). Darren Barefoot has a post about the sickees on his blog.
Oscars were more interesting this year, since for once I had seen a number of films. Nice to see Pan’s Labyrinth got 3 oscars! I like that film.
