The Mid-Week Socializing Game!

It's the mid-week socializing game!Hey guys! It’s that time of the week, again… Time to socialize on the fly! (And, I’ll have one of those shots in the photo, please!)

Here’s how it works: I’ll start with a question, and the first person answers my question, and then asks a different question for the next person in the same comment.

I’ll start!

What are you looking forward to?

  • Lara says:

    closing another deal.

what is the sky doing where you are?

  • Patricia says:

I just peeked out my window and the sky is blue and bright.

What are you eating for lunch today?

  • Miranda says:

Mmmm….. grilled chicken and grilled veggies

    What are you doing tonight?

  • Jonathan says:

Spending the night with my four month old daughter because I was out of the house taking a new acting class until after midnight last night. I miss my little girl.

    What’s your favorite beer?

  • NetChick says:

    A: STELLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAA!

    :)

    Q: Do you like pickles?

  • goofy girl says:

Pickles? Seriously awful, I hate them. ;) Picky picky eater.

Do you like pomegranate drinks? Have you had any?

  • Jonathan says:

A picky pickle picker? Hee hee…

Not really keen on pom drinks. I’ve had a couple.

LOVE ME THE STELLLLLAAAAA! (Always drinking mine in the proper glass, too.) Even though I brew my own beer, can’t beat the Artois.

    Listen to any favorite podcasts?

  • NetChick says:

A: Yep, usually they are from the women’s radio network I help promote. There’s some great stuff in those podcasts, and one of the hosts just found out she’s receiving two Gracies in June. Cool!

Q: Do you use cash most of the time, or debit/credit?

  • Lara says:

debit. i would love to use cash but it seems to disappear from my wallet awfully fast.

so tanya is your place now officially t & t?

  • NetChick says:

A: YEP! I’m officially no longer a batchelorette in the true sense of the word! Now, it’s trouble with a capital T, squared!

Q: Are you a clean freak, or is a little clutter/mess no big deal? (I’m currently shaking because my bedroom is a TOTAL disaster — I can barely walk in it after combining 2.5 rooms into 1. Yikes.)

  • Jer says:

A: My kitchen needs to be clean, but beyond that, I don’t mind a little clutter.

Q: Do you like to move house often to keep things fresh, or do you prefer to lay down roots until a situation FORCES you to move?

  • JavaKinetic says:

The idea of living in one place for more than 3 or 4 years is disconcerting …. but then, I cant imagine living anywhere else in Van. Well… maybe that building just over on that other street would be fun.

A run away train carriage is flying out of control and apparently about to run into a group of 10 people…. they will surely die. You are standing near a switch where you could direct the train carriage to a go down another track where only 2 will surely die. Do you switch the track, or just watch idly as the carriage plows through 10 people? (justify.. and extra marks for neatness)

  • NetChick says:

LOL… Leave it to Vern to ask a detailed question like that. The answer is obvious to me — Mitigate the collateral damage. Although sad, I’d rather save several than do nothing, and have them all die.

Q: Are your parents still married? Do you believe in lifetime-long relationships?

  • shnewt says:

It really depends on whether you are in either group. Because that would surely influence my decision… As I am such a slow thinker and tend to panic in life and death situation, I probably wouldn’t have the forethought of hitting the switch but instead would just start screaming like a little school girl. If I had the wherewithal to hit the switch, I probably wouldn’t have even realized that the train would then be destined to kill the group of 2. But lets just say everything was in slow motion and I could make the conscious decision to divert a runaway train and decide the fate of 2 over 10… I would hit the switch. Not because 2 dying is better than 10, but because the 2 people standing alone are obviously ugly and don’t deserve to live.

Q: What was the most painful movie you’ve ever watched.

  • shnewt says:

    Gosh darn you NetChick…

A: Parents are still together after 48 years. I grew up in the Cleaver household. I’m about as middle america (canada) white bread as you can get.

Q: What was the most painful movie you’ve ever watched.

  • NetChick says:

A: (I like making things difficult) That’s a toss up… Do you mean painful as in, I wanted to slit my wrists, or painful sad? I’ll give you both: [slit wrists] Bridges of Madison County. Seriously. Seriously! [sad] Philidelphia. OMG was that sad. I had tears coming to my eyes for a week after that one.

Q: How old were you when you were first kissed?

  • Pearl says:

A few weeks shy of 20. Others had tried but I got pretty good at squirming away and ordering people back.

    Ay plans for St. Patty’s?

  • utenzi says:

A: I assume you mean kissed by an “interested” party, Tan. There were two girls when I was 8. Obviously things didn’t get past kissing!

Q: It’s only 2 weeks until the “Ides of March.” Any special plans for the big day?

  • NetChick says:

Okay, that’s just spooky Dave and Pearl!

A: Patty’s? Not sure yet — Two of my friends have birthdays that day, so I’m sure I’ll be celebrating at least one of them! (with green beer of course) And, Ides? Hmm… I think I’ll dress up in a toga and streak Robson! Sounds like fun!

Q: Do you have a nervous habit?

  • Vern says:

So, Shnewt and NetChick are apparently sadistic. Would you laugh at the families when they confront you, and ask you why you decided that their beautiful children were expendable? Makes me want to shake my head it does. Sad. (( shakes head )) *tsk* What are today’s young adults coming to?

A: Yes – I get nervous when I talk to girls. It’s an annoying habit.

Q: Why do you visit the “Tanya Forums”?

  • Lara says:

because it passes the time at work.

if you look in your belly button is there lint?

  • NetChick says:

A: I’m fastidious about cleaning out my ‘innie’ every morning in the shower. ;)

Q: If you could be anywhere else right now, where would it be? (And, you’d only be allowed a 1 hour visit)

  • Charlene says:

A: I’d rather be having an aromatherapy massage.

Q: What is your most memorable vacation experience?

  • Patricia says:

    A. That’s hard to choose I have several! There was that time on a 1992 contiki trip in Munich, Germany where everyone (but me, beer gives me a tummy-ache) got drunk at the beerhall, ate leftovers from other people’s tables (ugh not me!) & then somehow got on the train with some of the drunk ones passing out on the train platform (I was stone cold sober and recall buying one of the girls her ticket and then shoving her onto the train so she wouldn’t get left behind), somehow we got back to the campground (almost losing a few people who ran off into the woods to pee). I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

    Q. Dark or Milk Chocolate?

  • NetChick says:

A: Milk Chocolate, without question. Dark is too bitter for me. (And, I’m not even a sweet tooth!)

Q: Describe the last great day you had?
