Friday Silliness! (burning bridges…)
I think this is what Jeremy should have done last Monday, instead of quitting respectably… Wouldn’t this have been much more fun??!
Have an excellent weekend everyone! What have you got planned? king arthur divx
Me? I’m working tomorrow morning and afternoon (project deadline looming, and I’m terribly behind due to issues with other clients popping up), and then working with Zoe on the wine website, before heading to Vern’s to warm up for a “Old School Rave” going on later that evening at Lupos. Sunday, I’m sleeping in a bit, working some more, and then (hopefully) catching up with Jer to help him with a project that he needs to get started on. Should be a fun weekend, for the most part!
ps: I had a date last night that kept me in stiches for most of our dinner together — That was fun! (And, he actually was given a link to this blog, which is out-of-character for me these days…)
UPDATE: rear window free download I’m off to pick up a brand new Canon REBEL XTi tonight!!! Yay for new toys! I can’t wait… Been wanting a new camera for a very long time.

Cool, same camera as me!
How do you like your XTi? I can’t wait… I was looking at the D70 for a long time, then the Rebel, and I think Canon’s done it about right with the XTi!
Hi T:
Sounds like you’re going to have a busy weekend! I also have to work tomorrow, I have to work one weekend a month and this week it’s my turn. Feeling under the weather today so I’m at home, hopefully I’ll feel ok at work tomorrow. So Sunday/Monday will be my weekend. I’m looking forward to visiting with a friend, watching a movie I’ve been dying to see for the last 10 years (The Double Life of Veronique), and going to the High Tech Communicator’s Exchange networking event on Marketing Intelligence.
Have a good weekend.
Cheers,
Patricia
NetChick: I love it, but I had to get over the discouragement I had with the kit lens, which I found hard to get the settings right with. Roland recommended the lens I use the most now, a $100 EF 50mm f/1.8. There’s no zoom, but it’s great in low light without flash and good for portraits.
Ya, I’m only going with the kit lens because I got a great deal on the kit… I was actually looking for body only — Reilly (who is a pro fashion photographer) suggested the Canon 17 – 85MM lens would be a great all around lens for me to consider. That lens sounds great too, though! Hmmm… Methinks this camera is going to set me back with all the toys!
Interesting departure method – get the cops called on yourself. My own resignation was a little bit more subdued though, and I don’t think my last day will have quite the same flair as this guy.
Besides, I don’t want to burn this bridge, since there’s a chance that I might be able to contract back to them at 2.5x my current hourly rate
Oh ya baby… I LOVE (heart) my new Canon Rebel XTi!!! Can’t wait to play with it.
Thanks again to Reilly and Miranda for coming out on my adventure — And for going over all the very cool features of this camera. Can’t wait for my first real photo walk with a digital SLR!
Howdy! Linked in here from your comment on Jer’s blog… you’ve some great reading here!
Love that video, go out in a blaze of glory
I’ve got the original Digital Rebel, it’s a nice little camera… I’d love an XTi upgrade, or better yet, a 30D. Money money money… *sigh*
Bridge burned indeed. He had fun doing it.
New toy, lovely. Pics coming up here?
Here’s another great vid of someone burning those bridges, closer to home too!
