Photowalk in Stanley Park

Here’s a few images from my first photowalk yesterday
in Stanley Park with Cin, Miranda and Reilly.
Do you go on photowalks? What types of things do you normally take photos of?

Not so much photo walks, but drives, I love to go on the Blue Ridge Parkway here in Virginia & try to capture the beauty of the mountains. I’m also considering photographing the abandoned buildings & old stores on the back roads around my area.
Here from Micheles,
UBC is a cool place for photowalks. There is such a variety of buildings, trees, sporting events, gardens, crazy characters etc…
Michele sent me over, Tan.
I see that you’re enjoying your new Canon Rebel. I’m sure it’ll provide you with a lot of fun. You live in such a beautiful area–perfect for a great SLR.
I love to take pictures too and often go out hiking just to take pictures of stuff. I’ll even just go out in my yard and take pictures of everyday things like weeds and boards to see how they turn out.
Hey Tan,
I’m not a big photowalker… I feel a bit stupid and too much like a tourist. But I do love pulling the camera out unexpectedly.
Great photos!!
Those flowers are beautiful! I love going on photo journeys! My husband and I usually go downtown (L.A.) and take pics of anything and everything. A more urban adventure since we don’t have too many flowers growing around here. But we do have great buildings and insane sights.
Good pics Tan. My own photo walks are usually of the urban jungle variety, searching for irreverence and dichotomy.
b00ya!! I see a macro lens in your future
What spring-y pictures… we’re still weeks away from such splendor in Sault Ste. Marie.
I’m usually taking pictures of things least likely to have ever been photographed before when walking about…but you probably knew that already.
Do them occasionally – Pitt Lake is a favorite, because there are good flat walking trails along the dykes (the earthen types, not the Commercial Drive types), it’s relatively close to home, and it’s absolutely gorgeous.
I’d share a pic or two if your blog allowed img tags, but instead I’ll have to just link you to them:

I tried to go for a walk once. But, I got really ill…. so, I walked back home again… but, on the way home was a pub…. so, I stopped in the pub. Unfortunately, there was a really pretty girl there…. so, I started talking to her. Good think they have internet hookup in the pub.
I wonder what it is like outside of the pub. I bet its sunny. I just betcha.
Vern is more nutty than I am…..
Yes, I do go for photo walks. I’ll take photos of the surrounding countryside, flowers, animals. Generally anything I see!

christoph
Yep, I go on photo walks. We’re back in the snow zone, not the flower fun. Egad. I can’t even remember the name of the 2nd one. Not johnny jump up or petunia. Looks like soul-food tho.
Very beautiful~!!
Wish I could been there.
